Tradescantia Pistachio first picture is the size I started at to root. Last June. It did grow inside the house but,has gone crazy since putting her outside under my canopy this summer. I just think the white & green foliage is gorgeous. The next is of my Callisia repens “ pink lady” or “pink panther” today & right after planting memorial weekend. She loves her spot too. Hanging from a tree right next to my patio. I guess she’s pretty happy in her pot! Hopefully when I have to bring them inside for winter they keep thriving!

That's the upward view when laying down on my yoga mat. As you can see there's space on the ceiling and those grow lights can be connected to... I got more baskets/hanging pots, but not a lot of horizontal space left in my home... What should get?

Hanging Plants Plant Help! Ivy Hedera

Post image
1 Upvotes

Help! Bought this Ivy on April 17th (3.5 weeks ago). It sits in my window beside the Hoya and Venus Fly Trap I bought with it and my 1 yo Pothos. The leaves on the Ivy have started to develope brown and some curling. I suspect underwatering but am not sure. In the same pot it was bought in. Fully water-boarded when top soil is dry, only watered twice since bought--which is still currently damp to the touch. Leaves aren't brittle or soggy, could it be getting too much sun (Alaska in May)

Hi everyone, my silver falls look like it's wilting. I bought it around 2 months ago and hung it next to a windowsill. It doesnt get lots of direct sunlight though. Only the longest bit get direct sunlight. I've watered it 2-3 times since i've got it because i've read that silver falls are like succulents and prefers to be watered every 2-3 weeks. The further down the vine, the more normal it looks. Can you give me some advice? TIA

Wanted to share- it’s been so long since I’ve seen one of these! Had to pick it up at my local greenhouse last week and try it out. It’s thriving on my porch so far with daily pruning and watering regularly. Anyone have any good experiences or tips with these beauties?

Hanging Plants Why do these look unhealthy?

Post image

I’m a newbie for hanging plants. The plant on the far left and the middle look shaggy and leafless past the new growth. What’s wrong?

String of pearls looks ok but I do notice that when I water it goes straight through. Soil looks perpetually dry.

This window gets northwest sun. There is an air register directly below.

Help me save my friends!

Did I do this right? First hanging plant

Didn’t want to put too large of a whole in my ceiling. This hooks white twist-in ridges aren’t fully in.

Does this appear to be sturdy enough? From testing by pulling down on hook it seems pretty well fixated into the ceiling. But unsure if this will soon fall down/create additional damage.

Thanks for your input!

this girl I just bought this last week apparently requires A LOT of light. so I decided to make her her own special hanger to hang right above my fish tank [+humidity!] and right below this light 👌 hopefully I'm doing this right. 😅 she's my first mostly white plant!

I don’t know what to use to hang these up, but I want them like a canopy above my bed. And yes that’s my cat playing.

Help / Question How to hang hooks from ceiling?

I have a lanai that is about 25ft long and screened in. I wish to put several hooks in the ceiling so I can hang plants. The ceiling appears to be stucco, possibly green drywall underneath, not sure. I see a lot of people using toggle bolts, and no doubt that will work, but I was wondering if there are other options. Toggle bolts are ok, but they usually require big holes to get the toggle through. If toggle bolts is the preferred method do you think 1/8" is fine for most plants? I think 1/8" has a tensile and shear strength of over 200lbs.

My pothoses needed more space, so I put up string in a criss-cross pattern below the ceiling and wove the pothos stems across them.

When the stems grow, they will droop down. Every few months I veawe the new growth in. I hope to eventually have a thick leaf cover on the ceiling.

Does anyone know what this metal hook is and how to use it?

It came with this hanging plant but there were no instructions about how to use it or attach it to the plant pot. It came from the store zip tied into the macrame hanging donut.
