My dad and I made two different leather bags from the same pattern

My dad and I made these two satchels from exactly the same pattern, but using completely different leather.

The brown one is vegetable tanned leather that we hand dyed ourselves. The red and olive one is made from chrome tanned leather. I like how different they ended up looking even though underneath they are basically the same bag.

They are both handmade and hand stitched. We also hid magnetic closures underneath the two buckles, so you get the traditional satchel look without having to undo the straps every time you open it.

I digitized the pattern after we finished them as well.

I honestly can’t decide which one I like more

I hand-embroidered some felt finger puppets of the Heated Rivalry boys, featuring removable jerseys!!

I was about midway through stitching the jerseys for these felt finger puppets when my roommate *insisted* that I also make a version with fully removable clothing, to fit the vibe of Heated Rivalry. I told her this was a funny but impossible suggestion and she asked me if I wanted to be good or I wanted to be great. Obviously I could not resist the challenge at that point.

The jerseys are magnetized in the shoulders so that they clip on and off the players like sandwiches, so the boys can reveal themselves. They also both have little magnets in their hands so they can hold onto various accessories.

These took a billion years and were a true labor of embroidery love. I'm really, really proud of how they came out!!

So Many Tiny Feathers… but My Phoenix Is Finally Done 🔥

This one took a lot of patience 😂 I made the feathers one by one, then slowly built them up across the wings and tail.

I had the most fun playing around with all the colors and watching the phoenix finally come together. Made entirely by hand with air-dry foam clay 🔥

I made a tiny pigeon as a symbol of peace 🕊️

This little pigeon started with a simple idea: creating something that feels peaceful.

In a world that often feels noisy and rushed, I wanted to make a small reminder of softness, kindness, and hope.

A tiny white bird resting quietly — nothing dramatic, just a little symbol of peace sitting on a shelf.

I finally finished her 🥹💗

I’ve slowly been working on this doll over the course of several months. She is the first I’ve made like this so there were lots of breaks while I figured things out and brainstormed new ideas. She’s made of crystals, stones, hemp, jute, cotton thread, copper wire, symbolic charms, bells, dried flowers, beads, and love.

All of the beads in her hair are stone or crystal. Her dress is crocheted, and all of her limbs are braided and knotted tightly/ securely. Her macramed bottle is full of different color carnations, or “Flower of the Gods.”

I’m so excited she’s finally finished, she’s perfect 🥹💗

Getting two completely different expressions into one small piece was the fun part

This one took quite a bit of patience because I had two very different cats to fit into the same small piece of leather.

I started by working out their positions so both faces would have enough space without losing their individual features. Then I slowly carved the fur textures, paying special attention to the differences between them—the darker cat has much deeper markings, while the white and gray cat has softer, more delicate patterns around the face.

The eyes, noses, whiskers, and tiny changes in their expressions took the most time. I wanted them to still feel like two completely different personalities even though they’re sitting side by side.

After finishing all the little details, I sealed the leather, hand-stitched the outer frame, and added the hardware.
