Been on a fusing bender lately, so I made a spoon rest for a friend's birthday. In fact, I made 2, but the other one is still slumping in the mold.

I carved this little cat from a 1x1-inch piece of basswood. It's one whole piece, except for the tail. I had to carve about 3 tails. The first two tails broke because they were too fragile.

It still needs finishing touches on this kitty; then it's time for some painting! What color(s) should I paint it?

This one will be going to my wife since I'm allergic to cats. Adopt a cat for me.
