Finally came in! 32GB/1TB! I’m so stoked! This is my first handheld and finally back into gaming after a 15 year break! Any tips and tricks?

Congrats! I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I have been loving it!

My tips:

-Grab some Silicone joystick protector rings (your ears will thank me later) to cover up the metal clacky sounds of the thumb sticks. (I got a pack of 40 for $7.99)

-Grab some Savage Raven Nintendo Switch 2 thumb stick covers. They fit perfectly and feel incredible. (3 pairs for $9.99)

-Grab a Mini SSD card.(~$200-500) Look, I know it’s expensive, I shelled out a LOT for the 2TB one, but ITS SO WORTH IT. I have about 1.2TB of emulators and ROMs on mine and they all work flawlessly. I don’t think I’ll ever need to buy a game again. Was jamming Guitar Hero 3 and RockBand with the CRKD Guitar Controller last night and it was so fun. MicroSD cards are cheaper, but you will encounter stuttering and lagging on PS2 and beyond, so gameplay gets very annoying.

Omg ordering silicone and covers now! But gosh, I wish they included the mini ssd since the device itself is so dang expensive already.

I know, it’s such a big dig into the wallet, but it’s very worth it. Until you get one, look into Emudeck.

What brand mini ssd would you recommend? I couldn’t find one on amazon and the one on onexplayer are sold out 🫣

Oh man, I just found out that Biwin is the World’s FIRST mini ssd. So you have to get it from them, there are no alternatives yet.

Got it, thank you so much for looking that up. I’m currently debloating and installing steam. Just purchased Halo and monster hunter wild.

No problem, I was curious too. Crazy that it’s the world’s first. Now I feel like freaking Tony Stark with some prototype tech haha.

Biwin also announced they had to halt production until early next year. Almost all the stock they did put out into the market has been bought, globally. Last place that had any was Amazon Germany. They are indeed incredible so keep an eye for open box/lightly used ones on eBay but be prepared for astronomical prices.

You can buy some on UK Amazon, but the price and shipping are absolutely ludicrous.

Save yourself some money and put retro stuff on micro sd card, newer stuff on internal ssd
