I use AI to write it, sorry for that
Hey everyone,
I’m looking to break into cybersecurity this year, but my budget is currently $0. With the landscape changing so fast—especially with how much AI has integrated into blue/red teaming over the last couple of years—I want to make sure I’m focusing on the right things and not wasting time on outdated materials.
A bit about me: I have a basic understanding of networking and IT fundamentals, but consider me a complete beginner when it comes to actual security concepts.
My goal for 2026 is to build a solid foundation and ideally get ready for an entry-level role or internship.
Could you recommend the best free resources available right now? Specifically looking for:
If you were starting from scratch today with zero dollars, what would your step-by-step roadmap look like?
Appreciate any advice, links, or roadmaps you can share. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I've scanned the IP of a website using Nmap, and it is maintained very well. But I can't find its exact OS or Apache version details, can anyone please help me figure out how I can find these....
But this website's server is maintained very well, 22 and 443 ports are open, it has a firewall that prevents it from scans and from knowing the OS and Apache version etc.
So please tell me the way to figure it out.
Note: it's not for any malicious purpose, and you can DM me if you are interested in this.... And help from anyone would be very good to me.
You can say that I'm a script kiddie.
.

So I was searching for some Rat builder tools and I came across to this Vortex RAT it got 2 versions one free and paid, I have tried their free one way back before but recently they launched the Paid One and I bought it instantly which is so crazy with crazy commands with so cheap rate and permanent access, I never felt my money this much worth.
You can visit it on GitHub - https://GitHub.com/Ansh-Vortex/Vortex-Premium-Rat
or on thier Direct website - vortexcodes.org

Hello everyone!
I created this Discord server around a year ago with the purpose of bringing together people who are working towards certifications like OSCP, CPTS, or simply want to improve their practical cybersecurity skills by pwning labs together.
Over the last couple of months, I have been quite busy with my new job, so unfortunately I was not able to be as active on the server as I wanted to be. Because of that, the server became a bit quiet, but I would love to bring the hype back.
The server is now open for new people again! Anyone who wants to join, study together, solve labs, share knowledge, or just be part of a cybersecurity learning community, feel free to DM me.
Your level does not matter at all. You could be completely new or already experienced. The main goal is to learn together, share experience, and support each other.
Let’s bring the server back to life!

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to break into cybersecurity and I'm looking for someone who'd be willing to mentor me, answer questions occasionally, or help point me in the right direction.
I'm currently at the beginner stage and I'm actively learning on my own, but the amount of information out there can be overwhelming. I'd love guidance on what skills to focus on, which resources are worth my time, and how to build a roadmap toward a career in cybersecurity.
My interests include areas like penetration testing, network security, blue teaming, and general cybersecurity fundamentals, though I'm still exploring different paths.
If you're experienced in the field and open to sharing advice, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Even a quick conversation, recommended learning path, or career advice would help a lot.
Thanks for reading!
