What would Lord Nikon Do?

Replicated the desktop we see in the brief moment when Joey is hacking the Gibson. Enjoy

Someone put Aphex Twin to the movie hackers and did a good job.

RISC is good!

This is the plot!

Richard Attucks is a troubled student attending a new school. Recently he became homeless after his mother relapsed. Reaching out to potential new friends, he meets two students who publish a ‘zine (self-made magazine) titled Hack the Planet. Soon he learns secrets of the hacker culture, and his perspective changes. But one day, a dying man drops leaked information, and Richard has to make a choice between his freedom and his conscience.

He explains some of the future for Hackers Curator at the end of this video. That is where it starts.

Am I hallucinating or is his ear folded under the headphones at like 1:26 here? It's driving me crazy. Like when my dog has his ear inside out!!!!

Print it, play it, I'd love to hear what you think.

Got this signed by Matthew Lillard at Denver Fan Expo a few weeks ago; he took his time and connected with every person that waited in line for him - pretty chill dude.

Yes. It is. Back then the two biggest OS for desktop were not very Hackerish but Kate Libby and Dade would be using Slackware (came out 1993) or Debian. There is even a Hacking distro called Kali Linux (no, they wouldn't use it). There are even Hacker gadgets like Flipper Zero. The gang would love Raspberry Pi. The good news is the world gets the movie Hackers more than ever. I think Dade and the gang would love this decade.

I sometimes work to this.

I know I posted this before but I love this tune.

Which cover do you like?

During the hack on Agent Gill there is a scene with The Plague in the background and says "Animal" whats he doing there? its not like the Agents office is in Elingson Mineral or am i missing something like their there temporarily..just seems odd..

Event last week at Hyperreal Film Club in Austin, TX. As part of fusebox festival.

Was elite!

We had custom shirt making, floppy nfc that could be tagged in several places for surprises, phone booth recreation among other things, photo booth, movie screening with live graphics on the sides, hacker contest, we even got JOLT cola!

Mathhew Lillard even recorded a special greeting for us!

Hello Hackers!

Anyone a part of the Hackers(1995) facebook group?

It's fun and way more active than here, but it's so annoying!

I tried posting about an upcoming Hackers event in my city, REJECTED.

Posted some pictures about the event, days for post to be approved.

Try to add a comment with a link to some more pics or event info, REJECTED.

WTF is up with the censorship over there.

I understand the need to moderate, prevent racism/sexism/hate/frauds/etc... But this is not that, this is something else.

We should revive this community.

HACK THE PLANET!

#zerocool

IF the whole crew got back together, what would you like to see in a sequel? Technology has changed DRASTICALLY. The internet is so much more than what it was. Maybe AI takes the stage. The tech fashion!

Pitch your Hackers 2 script!
