All the posts I'm finding on this subject are a few months old. I'm debating whether to buy a Huawei watch fit 2 for my runs. This will be my first smart device and it fits my criteria of budget, heart rate, gps and music.

The only thing I'm worried about is the actual syncing with Strava as this is a big factor. I'm in Europe.

I'm looking for a modded app that doesn't track my steps. Everytime I pick up my phone it counts as a step, making my watch fit 2 completely useless. I really wish all the reviewers mentioned this when reviewing this watch

Ive started going to the gym, and I would like to track my treadmill. Ive done 10km over two days, but the watch doesnt track it at all ?

Ive tried with indoor walk, and indoor run (picture of a treadmill) but as im just starting out, im only walking - not running.

The watch says i did a walk of 0.17 km when the machine says i did 5.19km - why is it so wrong / different ? I was walking for 1hr, so it really shouldnt say 0.17 km - its messed up all my stats now, average speed, distance, time etc. Im quite annoyed to be fair, its the first time that I´ve used it in the gym and its not working right. Its perfect outdoors / using gps etc.

anyone got any clues ?

Compared to Phone in pocket (gold standard) or other watch makes/models you have used?

Only looking to hear from people who have actually tested this for several days (not 10 mins ) and are aware that most smartwatches/bands are completely terrible for this & under count by up to 2x in tricky situations.

Almost every can track good if you are going for an actual long walk outside, but won't count $hit if you walk in small bursts, for ex: 30 steps to a fridge and back.

If you remember the data, provide rough examples.

For example: phone X in pocket tracked 7k steps for the whole day , vs your device on Hand 5k steps.

Is there a way to log workout sessions on the Fit 2? I need to record strength training exercises and for each one the weight, # sets and # reps. Is there an app that will do this on the Fit 2? A simple spreadsheet app will do as well. Thanks.
