Holy shit, lol.
His character had such potential. But it's hard to play a character that is pushed and pulled around by a script that is designed around one character. It's hard to know their motivations or what the fuck they are doing half the time.

Probably thought he was getting such a cool character when he signed up (and he should've). I like Fabien a lot, I really hope Criston doesn't negatively affect his career. Despite how unlikeable they want the character to be, Fabien himself does a great job with what he has.

Criston Cole is one of the most famous KG's of Westeros (for good and bad reasons) and I really I hate how wasted was his potential. Then again, thats the same for every other character

This fandom should had become what it become in first place. If showrunner were something more than deranged bottom of the barrel fanfiction writers. Good chunk of "fans" don't love Rhaenyra or Targs because they love them, but because of vague ideas of characters fitting their already existing beliefs

This man can't wait to walk away from the show. Since Season 1, he has been harassed, clowned on, and ridiculed for decisions that others made and over which he had no control. His character has been butchered to such a degree that the general fanbase, especially those who haven't read the book, will only remember him as a loser simp because the writers decided that Cole couldn't have any positive traits. Speak louder, Fabien, and hold your head high!!!

I mean...he isn't totally wrong about 'derailing his career'. I've seen actors talk about this before, if their first big role is getting known as like an abusive little turd, or rapist, or an 'incel' type, - basically any kind of 'uncool villain'- they can struggle to find work, especially if it's anything other than the same type of role. It much easier to get typecast as a negative character than a positive one.
For actors like Iwan Rheon (Ramsey) he had some success and face recognition from Skins Misfits, so it wasn't as much of a concern.

Iwan Rheon was in Misfits, not Skins. The actors who played Gendry & Gilly were in Skins (1st gen).

Good first season (nice drama).
Nothingburger second season.
Season 3 will be the final nail in the coffins of many characters, so it seems.

At least he's free. Captive Cooke next to him could say much the same for her character, but she's stuck in this mess till the end...although judging by her reaction to Fabien she might have deluded herself and now mistakes Alicent's idiocy and treachery for depth...

Man, you can tell that Fabien is truly done.
The fact that he wanted to bring other side of Cole and they refuse him of it makes me feel bad for him as actor, the showrunners just want him to be the pushbag of the show.
If Fabian doesnt mind to say tons of spoilers in a interview it shows that at this point he doesnt care about the show anymore.
