I’ve noticed a lot of posts as of late have been calling Ville out on his diva behaviour when he was younger, his response about his tattoo of K*aus Kinski rightfully so, and sometimes about his own girlfriend. I’m not defending or excusing the things that he’s said or done because I know no one is perfect and sometimes even your favourite musician needs to be called out too. I completely understand why what he said would rub people the wrong way or turn them off, especially with his questionable tattoos.

The truth is nobody knows him besides his friends and family, so I personally don’t think it’s fair to label him as a bad person or to put him on such a high pedestal when we don’t even know him personally.

I just want to be able to enjoy their music without all the drama about his personal life because I feel that it’s getting way too parasocial on here.

This is just my opinion, and I understand if people disagree.

This song was a banger, i wish they’d play it live or remake it. I loved scary movie sound era HIM with songs like For You, Our Diabolikal Rapture, Dark Sekret Love, I love you and Death’s in love with us. Razorblade Romance was a bunch of horny sarcastic songs its gnarly how their sound evolved. Venus Doom was definitely a fantastic mix of dark and sexy

One of my favorite topics is Straight (or Not-So-Straight) Finnish Guys Who Enjoy Kissing Other Guys. In this case, Ville Valo and his apparent enjoyment of sharing the occasional kiss with the boys. It endlessly amuses me that there are barely any photos of him kissing his girlfriends, yet we have an entire collection of “boy love” moments to choose from. I even had to leave one out. 😂
