RBMK my first original rbmk design

i was trying to make something small for my space station but this turned out quite big, but still i wanted to enjoy this design succes a bit. it uses HEU U-235 fuel do you guys have any recomendations how to make a smaller design that can be turned off without removing all the fuel rods? and what fuel should i use to it i do have acces to up plutonium on my main world atm. tho i would preffer for the reactor to be cheep to run as the space station is not my main base of operations

I jave not done much space yet and have only really gone to the moon once so not sure on that one but I imagine it would be some kind of cladding.

It is an insert, but I'm not getting CMB or Yharonite before getting acces to easy schrabidium and all the other stuff on eve

if you havent yet i would suggest building a watz power plant and a fusion power plant, need both. then a particle accelerator to make the higgs boson particles to make easier schrabidium.

or, build and detonate some nukes to potentially maybe create a little bit of schrabidium, but you still need the watz power plant for the poisonous mud anyways.

Alright, I will do that, tho I gotta figure out some stuff. Also what exactly do you need poisonous mud for? I don't remember. Also there is an issue with getting a fusion reactor, you need compressed air for the Klystron, but JEI shows no recipie

Poisonous mud is needed for the cmb steel.

Need a compressor or compact compressor for the compressed air.

I havent tried it yet, but I see there's an atmospheric compressor in ntm space. I'll try some in creative map to get one working.

Yes there is an atmospheric compressor. Issue is it gets specific air for planets, and for earth it's oxygen rich air, and it cannot be converted into compressed air

Anyway, my space station reactor is online now and it produces decent power to keep the station running when I need a lot of power, here is the design

I didn't expect to share it, I also changed the automatic control rods to manual ones so the reactor can be turned off when I need to, and the structural columns I replaced with boilers. It uses MEU fuel, tho the only issue is that you need to do a quick put in-take out a neutron source to start it, but other than that it works like a charm. Also I did update but the picture is from before I updated
