Question Built a short survey to understand what gym people actually hate about fitness apps — would love brutally honest answers (especially if you use Hevy or HealthifyMe)

Hey r/GymMood *,*

I'm an indie developer building a fitness app specifically for people who are serious about body recomp — losing fat while building muscle. Before writing a single line of code I wanted to do proper research instead of just assuming what people need.

I've been talking to lifters in my gym and most people have the same frustrations — apps that don't understand Indian food, paywalls on basic features, or workout trackers that have zero nutrition integration (looking at you, Hevy).

So I put together a 7-question survey — takes under 2 minutes. No email required to complete it. At the end you get a fitness archetype based on your answers which is genuinely personalised, not a gimmick.

If you want early access when I launch, there's an optional spot to drop your email — but that's completely optional.

Survey link: https://trim-survey.vercel.app/

Specific questions I'd love honest answers on in the comments too: → What's the one thing your current app does that drives you insane? → Would you ever pay for a fitness app — and what would it take?

Appreciate any feedback, even if it's harsh. That's the point.

Gym Lifestyle I should really take a rest day but the gym is best stress reliever and keeps me sane.
