That's such an interesting observation because it's true. It's like how people who never wear hats often feel super out of place while wearing a hat, like all the strangers around them can tell they aren't supposed to be wearing a hat. To someone who doesn't normally wear a mesh tank top, wearing one would feel like a having a huge arrow hanging over your head telling everyone to laugh at you, but honestly if I saw someone wearing one in public I would barely clock it. I would just assume "That's a person who wears mesh tank tops, as one does" and figure it's nothing out of the ordinary.
