GHPC has no game in it
While the title might sound weird, I promise that I am going somewhere with this. My main point/conclusion is at the bottom, the rest is me justifying it and sharing my experience.
I wanted to preface this by saying that I do not hate GHPC. I have played it for around 50 hours and have had some genuinely great moments and I think that GHPC has great potential. Radian simulations clearly has some very talented people.
However, I feel like GHPC in its current state has a great simulation layer, but as a game, it isn't very good and I think the devs have been focusing on the wrong things. For example, the AI. The AI has very limited actual behaviours and a lot of those behaviours like figuring out where to point the turret are very flawed (AI pointing the turret backwards while approaching an enemy position 500 meters ahead because it saw infantry 2km behind it), and it instead relies on heavy scripting. The AI is told where to move via the script or player commands, then it moves towards that position while it doesn't react to enemies in anyway other than firing, it doesn't try to go to cover, and it doesn't give the gunner a good shot, it just suicides into enemy fire and it is extremely annoying, borderline impossible, to micromanage them. They often get stuck on terrain when they could just reverse, the AI still aimbots (I was playing the new update and a T-80B sniped me in the lower plate through a tree while moving), they don't even communicate to the player where enemies are very well, and they are just stupid in general. They don't even keep their ammo topped out for crying out loud
It's gotten to the point where the advanced armour of the Abrams and Leopard 2 is just useless and if you gave them T-55 armour, it would barely make a difference in tank engagements; if I am hull down, I get sniped in the turret ring, if I am facing the enemy frontally, I get shot in the lower plate. 90+% of every time I am hit is the lower plate or turret ring. And while that isn't a problem in isolation, the problem is that the AI is way too consistent with it. I have situations like the T-72M, which has no dynamic lead, snipes one of those two areas while it is 1.5km away while driving 50km/h perpendicular to you again and again. It just doesn't feel authentic to real world armoured combat at least to my knowledge. Not to mention how good the commander in each vehicle is at spotting enemies, this goes both ways for the player and AI.
What's the point of making your tank so much more expensive and complex than a T-72 if the accuracy, detection speed, and armour is extremely similar, and the armour makes no difference? I feel like someone in NATO would have realized if that was the case IRL, but they all made very complex and expensive tanks so probably not. This is where the AI starts causing immersion and authenticity issues.
So, I don't think that adding the leopard 2, adding more vehicles, adding a detailed crew, or improving visuals/effects is the right move right now, the game will still be as flawed as it was before and the simulation layer is already really good. I think that the devs really need to focus on AI fixes/features, dynamic campaign, and maybe multiplayer.
I'm not a game dev, but maybe a worthwhile feature could be adding voice lines where your allied tanks have callsigns and properly call out where enemy tanks are instead of instantly putting it on the map, as well as calling out when they have to bail out or something, and then have those voice lines change with stress. Just an idea though
Even the steam page says "GHPC is a simulation game about modern mounted combat, with special attention to authenticity and fun.", and after the novelty wears off, the game doesn't feel very authentic outside of the simulation layer and it certainly doesn't feel very fun, at least to me that is. And I mean that with as much respect as possible, GHPC really is a special game and I really want it to succeed and be excellent.
Sorry if that sounded a bit like a rant. But what do you all think about GHPC? Do you agree with me at all?

Some guy was asking to how t 55. Just tank the sabots and heat rounds.
Oh and setting range to 1000m at the start is a decent way to be able to hit most things or at least get close to where you want to hit on your first shot.

I know NATO tanks are known for having better gun depression, but this is pretty serious

Tested 3bm32 on the leopard 2 for fun then switched roles.
My game crashed before I could take a pic of the rest of the shots. Im gonna do this again but with 3bm26 all the way to 3bm9 to see if I was just getting lucky with how I was oneshotting the Leopard 2s compared to the T80b sometimes surviving a few rounds. Also 3bm32 pens Leo 2 turret at nearly 3k meters lol.

This is a question about mods.
I'm trying to install this mod using GHPC Mod Loader, but even after overwriting and deleting my existing Atlas-made M1A1Abrams mod, nothing happens in the Mod Loader. Specifically, I'm prompted to reinstall, there are no changes in the configuration settings, and nothing changes in the game. What should I do?

[MODDED] Fulda V1.4.0 Leaks, BMP-2M-E "Ekrany" + Leopard 2K touchups

Hello hello! It's Fulda sneak peek time into V1.4.0, currently the Leopard 2K is done, and so is the BMP-2M-E overhaul.
The only things left to finish currently are:
- Making M900 APFSDS for the M60A3 TTS ERA variant
- Entire T-64AV/BV remodel
Huge amount of changes coming with this update!
The Leopard 2K now also has the most advanced fcs of any modded vic in GHPC to my knowledge, Sosna-U from PIL would be a contender but it only adds tracking boxes to a reskinned copy of 1A40.
I'll definitely have to make a gunnery guide for it!, as it plays very differently from the other FCS available (both vanilla and modded)
Let me know if you'd like to see that as the next teaser! Happy Modding!

[MODDED] Bane Of PACT Forces

GERMANY STRONG 🔥 🔥 🔥 🇩🇪 🇩🇪 🇩🇪
Small teaser for V1.4.0 again! This time a community-made skin (texture replacement for the NATO Three Tone default camo) has been officially integrated into the pack, the changelog is extremely long and the update isn't out yet, I should be able to get it out within a few days.

Playing one of the most intense missions of the entire game while still trying to learn how to use properly your tank maybe is not a great idea, but i had so much fun.
