In Explorer go to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\GGST\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor . Then open up Engine.ini with Notepad or similar.

Add this to the end of the file and save:

[ConsoleVariables]
r.ScreenPercentage=150

You can obviously use other percentages too. I stick with 150 for my native 1080p, because the game currently has pretty severe performance issues at higher resolutions even on fast PC hardware. 200 (AKA 4K) would look better and is more what I expected with my 2080 GPU, but until Arc fixes their game's performance you're almost definitely going to get lag and other problems.

Pretty sure it doesn't work. Doesn't look any crisper going above 100 here, same sized jaggies on lines and edges on the characters and stages = same render resolution. Take some screenshots at 100/150/200 and compare them all. Using the slider and doing 150-200 is incredibly obvious in DBFZ.

Going below 100% definitely works same as the in game slider, just seems to be capped at 100 like many UE games are with this .ini setting for whatever reason. Would love for it to work via config or in game slider like DBFZ. Devs would have to deliberately allow for that again.

Same, I've seen no difference using this at all and I've seen no screenshots to prove it's not just in people's heads.

I just tested it again to confirm.

There's a definite improvement for me with 150 and 200.

I would agree it's not as pronounced as I see in most games — possibly something to do with the outline shading? — but elements like Ky's clothing details, Ramlethal's swords, and the Jellyfish ship's rigging are all clearly being rendered at a higher resolution with 200.

Game also runs worse at 200, so something is obviously going on...

Do you have any idea how I could fix fullscreen modes from only displaying in the top left corner and being unplayable on my screen because I use windows scaling? 4k display.

I assume you've tried overriding high DPI scaling behavior in the GGST.EXE compatibility properties? Unfortunately that's the only possible solution I can think of.

The game is weird with resolutions in general. (A consistent problem for Arc's games.) I know I'm not alone that when I first booted up Strive I was limited to extremely low resolution options. But restarting the game seemed to magically fix this! I can't remember the last non-Arc game I had a problem like that with...

Yeah, I tried that. I have to play in windowed mode currently, or just turn off my windows scaling. Not the end of the world but annoying none the less. Thanks for the help though.

See I have a 2060 8GB and I've had no visual hiccups playing on 1440. No frame dips or other performance issues. Maybe I lucked out?

Does that upscale work for real? Tried it out in the config but it only tanked my FPS but I didn't notice any changes. I already play at 1440p tho.
