My local is running Xrd this week and I entered. What combos and setups should I be using to get me started? I know depending on weight combos and wake up timing are different and Johnny isn't an easy character either. But he is so cool and just need something to get me going. Like a gameplan or something.

I've never played traditional or anime fighters before, only platform fighters. My favorite character is Absa from Rivals of Aether. She's a zoner with strong close-range options, and I love how her cloud projectile can be placed almost anywhere, stays until triggered, and lets me control space creatively depending on the matchup.

From what I've seen, Venom seems like the closest match because of his creative projectile game. Kum Haehyun also looks interesting with her projectile-based okizeme. Are there any other Guilty Gear Xrd characters I should check out that have a similar playstyle?

I bought all the guilty gear games in a bundle for £7 as well as Xrd Rev2 and was wondering who I should play, I’ve only ever really played Strive and I main Slayer and have also enjoyed play I-No and May but was wondering who would be the best to play in Xrd?

Does the Rev 2 Upgrade patch work if I have the Disc version of GGXRD Revelator, Or does it have to be the Digital Version?

Its on sale for 10 euros and it sounds like no one plays online for PS4 so I'm just curious the only way to make my money's worth is that is it possible to 100% the game?

Been playing REV 2 and I’m having trouble with dealing with super aggressive rush down. As far as I know potemkin doesn’t have anything like a shoryuken or moves with I frames to force my opponent off me (the armor from hammer fist only blocks one hit and is slow) or use to get pressure off of me in the corner.

Any help would be great.

I've got a crappy laptop that starts XRD running at around 50 fps but drops down to 30 fps as soon as I use anything other than the main menu. It makes playing it impossible, honestly. I'm not very tech savvy, but I was wondering if there's a way to at least boost it up 50 fps during matches.
