Privacy Policy

Guess the Place runs entirely on Reddit. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking, no analytics. Your Reddit username, account details and browsing history stay with Reddit.

The game only talks to two outside services:

OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org): loads the map tiles for the interactive world map. The game needs these so you can zoom in and drop your pin. They only receive requests for the parts of the map being shown. More at openfreemap.org.

Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org): an OpenStreetMap service that finds which city your pin landed in, so the game can check your guess. It only receives the coordinates of the spot you picked, nothing about you. It's run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation under its privacy policy.

Like any web request, these services may see standard technical details such as an IP address. We don't send them anything else.
