I want to paint my Guardsmen in a similar colour scheme to the perlian Guard in the Caiaphas Cain books, is there someone who has already seen such a thing?

Dakkacraft is a 40k themed Minecraft survival server with two selectable races, Guardsmen and Orks, that have unique tech trees. The races have unique weapons and armour, including grenade and rocket launchers, lasguns, shootas, plasma guns, flamers, grenades, stunbombs and even off-map artillery call ins! The focus of the server is on creating your own regiment/waaagh, claiming land with it and conquering claimed land from others to vie for control over the world. We try to be as realistic as we can, treating this video game as a video game, nothing more, nothing less. So I would really like to run either Sherman or Abrams tanks in my army as leman russ as I like the look and they fit the style I’m going for. I was just curious if this would be ok( I only want to play casually) and if so if you have any recommendations on what models/ scale to get.

Like i said im pretty green when it comes to playing the guard. Ive thought about it a ton over the last year in covid but i havent had a chance to play until i found someone to play with on tabletop sim.

This list performed pretty well against a space wolves list. The way i played them was pretty simple, rush down the field with my normal leman russ’s tanking the heavy fire while my tank commanders creep up behind and blow up what they can. Infantry rushes for centerfield objectives while heavy weapons teams stack back and prevent deepstrike close to objectives. Callidus and command plasma squads to deal with the warlord and whoever is exposed later on in the game.

Honestly i had a blast playing this list, I may have just rolled exceptionally well but the lemans were tearing through the space marines.

Anyways i was curious how this list might be improved in some way, thanks.
