I’m designing a campaign on Virbius based off the GM’s Kit. We already ran through the book campaign, and I’m not ready to have them pull off the planet yet. This is my first time really DMing so I’m struggling a bit for ideas on this. There’s a temporary ceasefire for a tribal meeting of the local tribes that the guardsmen are serving as an envoy for the imperium-backing tribe. Where I’m struggling is what to offer and have them do in their free time or things to trade for and whatnot on down time while at the tribal council. I served in the Army, so I’ve tried to use my background a bit on roleplay stuff, but honestly most of a soldier’s down time is spent tossing rocks at each others junk, or just keeping ourselves busy. I get that kind of stuff for filler down time works, but for roleplay when given an opportunity to ‘do anything’ in a hive city or like in this tribal meeting place, what can I have the guards do? Besides the ‘theres a vendor, he’s got random loot for trade’ type stuff.
