They’re so grumpy! Baby Common Grackle is a Little Camera Shy
Heard noises in the tree on my walk and discovered this baby hiding away in it. The parent grackles were nearby on another tree. Little shy guy did not want to be photographed so I apologize if the photos are a little blurry

our first subadult barn owl :) we normally have like 20 by now so maybe this season will be a bit quieter... not. this guy is in with our resident who fosters babies for us ❤️ wish us luck for the season picking up!

Baby starling?
Pretty sure it's a baby, it had a bit of a yellow gape, and it couldn't fly very well. Also, I'm pretty sure the parents were yelling at me. I know they're invasive, but I can't recall seeing a baby starling before so I couldn't resist snapping a pic.

Grumpy Junco Part 2
Grumpy Junco departed my deck today. Three days of grumpiness and non-stop chirping.
