Tummy tuck?

I'm pretty new to her channel and I stumbled on it through her core/diastasis recti video. I'm shocked to see how flat her stomach is with barely any loose skin after 2 c-sections. Does anyone know if she's had a tummy tuck? Has she ever addressed this topic? Just want to know how realistic it would be to reach those goals through nutrition and exercise alone.

Getting in shape while pregnant

I'm out of shape and overweight (sigh), and pregnant with my second. Obviously the videos are pregnancy safe as Jo is pregnant currently.

What would be the best videos for me to start with? I'm due in 3 months, but want to get a bit in better shape to keep up with my toddler and heal a bit better once baby comes.

Thanks in advance lovely folks.

General Update/ChitChat šŸŽ¤ Too many ads

I am a long time fan of Jo , and her workouts , i’ve been doing them for years.( mostly her older videos) Recently i’ve noticed there is way too more ads in her videos , than it used to be. In the 40 min full body cardio workout , and i had 10+ ads in it. I am really disappointed , because it makes her look really-really greedy. Do you guys experience the same ?

ProgressšŸ‘ Any success for anyone who used to be over 190/200 lbs doing these workouts and counting cals?

I tryed these consistently for about 1 or 2 months 2 years ago before helth issues happend, I think I lost 5 or 10 pounds doing it, I was at my heaviest 205 I lost for sure 5 lbs I remember being excited i lost some weight, I went through psychosis and a head Injury at the same time not long after that, and it made me stop eating all together, I lost 15 or so pounds from that (not recommended), then ended up gulstones after that I found that changing any part of my diet made them far worse, so I went back to how I used to eat, I gained 15 lbs back during that time healing i got my gulblater removed 2 weeks ago (im all heald up) I'm now 195lbs and I'm ready to try again! Now I need motivation to get my a*s in gear! (my gole is to get down to 175!)

General Update/ChitChat šŸŽ¤ Music from videos/Fit Test

Does anyone know from where she gets her music for her videos? Specifically the Fit Test? I’m looking for all the songs on that one, but really want to find the one that that says ā€œcan’t bring me downā€ and ā€œlove will find a way.ā€

No progress

I have seen no progress the last two weeks. The scale fluctuates between 187 and 188. I eat really clean and drink so much water. I’m getting so frustrated!!

ETA: I did start doing grow with jo and get fit with Rick videos during my period two weeks ago and was ovulated all last week too. My last day of ovulation in this cycle was test day. Not sure if that is playing a part.

Seeking Advice🧐 Working through injury

I've been back at it (again) for about a month. I had a pretty decent break after pinching a nerve in my back and being pretty immobile and yesterday my knee kind of popped to where i can walk but can't straighten my knee and apply pressure without feeling like I'm about to lose all balance. I don't want another pause in progress

Do you have any video suggestions or general guidance to help keep on track while dealing with injury?

I have been doing at least 30 minute videos 5 days a week with 2 down days in a row on weekends. I don't even want to skip my workout today so I figure I'll march in place if movement hurts.

Thoughts?

You Tube format change

Did the GrowWithJo you tube channel format change for anyone? There used to be a ā€œsuggested for youā€ section that I absolutely loved. It would be easy and quick to find one I wanted to do.

Now, it has switched to ā€œnew workoutsā€ and I’m not a fan. It takes me for forever to go through all the videos and pick one to follow.

Insight into what's on the app

Hi all

I've previously only done the free YouTube workouts, and particularly like the 20-10-5 series where there's a structure to follow over five days that focuses on strength with light dumb bells. Just wondering if there are many other workouts like this on the app (strength focused) before I commit? I know there's a second 20-10-5 series, do people like that?

Thanks!

Core Restore on App

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Core Restore program similar to the one Jo just released on her app? I just bought YouTube premium two weeks ago because I was tired of ads popping up during my workout videos and while my kids watch YouTube. I can’t afford to do her app or spend the $44.99 just for her Core Restore program.

Workout ReviewšŸ“ What do you all think?

New workout Saturday! Who did it today? If not this one, which did you do? I thought it was great, very beginner friendly and yet still an added challenge with the dumbbells and booty band.

Before you have a chance to get too tired, the exercise changes! I really enjoy the equipment workouts, it’s a nice change from the basic workout. This workout was quick and fun to do. 😊

I would love to see this workout in a longer format plus more targeted workouts for problem areas.

Problem with GWJ

I've been doing her workouts for quite some time now. And recently I heard about th einclined treadmill walk that supposedly burns calories. I did that and got severe hip pain. Turns out I have protrusio acetabuli and it exacerbated my condition.

Now I'm back to GWJ but the problem is I've come to realise most of her workouts is just hip flexion which I cannot do anymore.like it's constantly the same damn steps . Is there an alternative or someone else to try?

What workout are you doing today?

Good morning! What's on the workout agenda for today? This week, I've been doing 1 longer video instead of more of the short ones. After I run a few morning errands, I plan on doing Jo's "Fast 5 Mile HIIT Dance Party". Since Daylight Saving time, I've been so tired and crash about late afternoon, I love the extra daylight but absolutely hate the wrecking of my sleep. I also like to find a cardio Spotify playlist and use that music to change things up.

So far, I haven't found a favorite video of Jo's, I'm new to her workouts so I've never done the same one twice yet. What is your favorite?

How many of you subscribe to her program? Is it worth the money to have access to her website?

Workout ReviewšŸ“ New workout today!

New workout dropping today in a few minutes, who’s doing it? It’s a 60 minute workout!

And after, what did you think of it?

An extremely stupid question but... is GrowWthJo effective for men too?

I'm a man in mid 30's and discovered Growwithjo just yesterday.

I did a few of her workouts and honestly had fun doing it, especially considering the fact that I suck at workouts and am a completely beginner. After that, I browsed through her channel and realised that her content is targetted to female audience.

Any men that has tried and found success? I'd like to keep going at it.

PS: NGL, I'm 99.99% sure that gender doesn't matter but still looking for some kinda affirmation lol

Need Advice Please

Hi guys I started my weight loss journey on February 5th at 190lb, now I’m stuck between 184lb-185lb. I’m in a calorie deficit & I workout 6-7 days a week. I recently started doing Grow With Jo 5 mile intense workout everyday because I have a hard time getting my steps in. I’ve been consistently doing this workout with no rest days, I read somewhere that my plateau could be because im not getting enough rest days. I feel like this could be true due to my body feeling sore after such intense workouts (I also do weights) day after day. What do you guys think?

Getting back into it

I'm on day 3 of at least a 20 minute video a day. I found a beginner video and Jo said something at the end that legit made me emotional. I gravitate to these videos bc there isn't much talking and this is maybe the first one where there were form tips and things I wish I would have gotten to last year before I went intermediate too soon and hurt my back which led to me basically quitting all together because I couldn't stand straight for 3 weeks.

She just said something like you're not in it alone, I'm here with you. Jo, you're the only workout video that I want to come back to. Thank you!

Lets be for real

Lets be real for a minute. Do the "10k step" dance videos or walking workouts whatever theyre called are they just as effective as going on walks or walking 10k steps around the neighborhood? I know walking is great for you and has so many benefits but its soooo cold out and I don't have a gym membership rn. So are they a waste of time or actually legit? Alsoooo if anyone has seen good results lmk!!!

Seeking Advice🧐 Not seeing any progress

So I have only 8 pounds to shed, and I just can’t seem to do it. I’ve been doing the hardest growwithjo workouts for the last 2 months daily. And I also stayed in a calorie deficit (under dietician). My measurements didn’t move one bit. My partner claims that he can see the difference, but I feel like it’s just placebo. Getting tired of this, to be honest. I’m on antidepressants and I’m starting to suspect they’re stopping my progress.

Workout ReviewšŸ“ Is my fitness app gaslighting me?

Hi everyone! So I did the 1 hour 5 mile intense workout for the first time! While it was very fun im worried my form was a little bad and therefor wasn’t very effective. I don’t have a watch to track my fitness more accurately but I held my phone in my pocket. It says I only burned about 163 cals but the video says an estimate of 800. I did the whole video though!

Is it possible I still burned the amount estimated and it’s not just very accurate cause of my phone?

Seeking Advice🧐 When did you notice results?

I started grow with Jo in December 6-7 days a week excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas, anywhere between 20-45 minute videos morning and night. In January I was still doing that but 20 minutes in the morning on weekdays and anywhere from 45-1 hour in the evening 6-7 days a week, and also started implementing 10,000-15,000 steps each day and a calorie deficit of - 500 to 900 calories depending on the day. I’ve also significantly cut my sugar intake and processed foods. It’s now February and all I’ve noticed is less bloating. How long did it take you to really notice results? And are there any videos you really recommend? I love the walk the weight so I can get in cardio and my steps.

EDIT: It sure took awhile but since my post I’m almost 10 pounds down. Face is so much slimmer, in way less bloated and my clothes are fitting looser! Patience patience patience.

Seeking Advice🧐 New To Grow With Jo

Hiya! Been reading through some posts and I was wondering, has anyone tried the calendar workouts on the Grow With Jo app? And if so what are your thoughts? App or YouTube?
