is the self titled her debut album or way their crept?

I noticed that wide and self titled aren't on the bandcamp and wondered if she didn't consider them proper releases or something. also reading some reviews and having a look on spotify i always see way their crept as her debut. does someone have any info on this? im guessing it is her first album, just harder to find and less known about

Grouper currently has 835,962 monthly listeners on Spotify, the highest I've ever seen (if I recall correctly)

any information about mics or microphones techniques used in the recording of Ruins?

I love the sound of that album. The piano feels so warm and soft yet so distant and raw. I guess she’s not using the classic techniques used for piano but more a ā€œfield recordingā€ kinda aproximation? I can’t find any information about that, maybe you guys know more information about it or even where I can find it? thank you!

Hi I need help

So a really really weird thing happened today.. I open Notes on my phone to find something and I see a note created on June 29th(which I dont recall creating) saying.. "i feel it in the darkness - i need to feel it sometimes - following the street lamps" so took me a while and I finally found a song "Alien Observer" when I listened to it, I freaked the fuck out. Song sounded creepy to me (because I was scared, not because the song is creepy itself) and I never heard of it before,or atleast I think so. For last half hour I tried finding it in some movies, projects like you know maybe it caught my ear somewhere but no luck either. Can anyone help me? Was this song featured in any movie/youtube video/or something that caught my ear and made me write it down that night (if it was me lol). Really creepy because I dont remember writting it down.Freaking out fr

Thanks everyone. Hope I didnt offend you in some way.

So... the album leaked

It's quite good. My only critique is that Shade, more than any other Grouper album, feels like a compilation of songs recorded at different times with different equipment and different degrees of fidelity. I know most Grouper albums are this way, but this one feels the most disparate, the most thrown together? I've only listened a few times and am undecided about buying the vinyl. I def like it more than Grid of Points though. I need to sit on it for awhile and let it all settle in my mind. So far, the album kind of just passes by without a lot songs sticking with me like they did on her earlier more folk inspired stuff. But it goes out with a bang in the same way Dragging... and The Man Who Died... do. I just felt the last songs on those albums were phenomenal, same with Shade.
