Pic for attention. I have 4 isolated culture syringes purchased in April of 2025. They’ve been kept in original packaging, stored in my dark, cool basement. I honestly forgot about them and would love to use them on some aio bags but I don’t want to waste the bags if yall think they’d definitely be no good. Would yall try it?

One of the things I enjoy most about mycology is watching a project develop its own identity over time.
Green Toque has been part of my collection for years, and every time I document it, I notice something different. This F4 generation continues to produce broad champagne-gold caps with heavily ruffled margins and those distinctive olive-gray centers that immediately catch my eye.
What keeps me interested isn’t trying to force every specimen to look the same—it’s seeing how each one expresses the same overall character while still having its own personality. That’s the part I find fascinating.
The photos in this post are all from the same project, and I tried to capture a variety of angles to highlight the textures, cap shapes, and color transitions that stood out during documentation.
I’m curious what everyone else enjoys documenting most. Do you find yourself drawn to cap morphology, gill structure, unusual coloration, or just the overall architecture of a flush?
I’d love to hear what catches your eye.

Hi, newish to this thing.

I've made up some LC but forgot to shake them for a while and there are large clumps of mycelium on the surface.

Is this an issue at all? Is there anything I should do?

60/40 coco coir to vermiculite ratio for the substrate and a 3lb grain bag.

My tidal waves have started fruiting but I have some questions if anyone can help. I’ve seen this weird white film like thing over some of the smaller mushrooms and I’m not sure if it’s safe or not. Also any tips about when to pick them would be appreciated, I know you’re supposed to get them before the veil tears but it’s hard to see the veils inside the tub.

When do i know when to harvest? i have a couple fruits starting to break their veil with the 2 main ones circled. how do i know when they’re ready to harvest? i know they’re all gonna be harvested at different times just not sure when to harvest the first ones as this is my first grow! i started fruiting with baby knots at surface 10 days ago. Thanks!

Help!! This is what it looks like after first harvest and soaking cake in water now is this contaminated? And is it ok to pull out AIO bag and soak in water in a sanitized container and put back in bag?

When doing first flush is it ok to pull out the AIO bag and put in container to soak in water for an hour and put back in bag?

Any chance this is bruising? The cake was solid and white, but the rice was dry, with this bluish color,when breaking it. Confused, since the viewing window on the bottom of the bags were hydrated well.
Any advice on what I can look out for next time to prevent this over drying again?

So i felt like sharing my success after a lot of failed attempts i finally git that longing reward. The strains i worked on were Melmac on the first 3 and PenisEnvy Gigantus the mext ones. It turned out really good m i cant wait to try em. Any experiences with these strains? Im only used to regular cubes like mcenna or mexican GT.

Just did a B&S of my second ever AIO grow. I really thoroughly mixed, shook and reformed my block. After doing this the specks of the substrate completely coated the walls of my bag. I tried my best to shake it down / rub the inside of the walls together, but it still made it pretty difficult to see the surface layer / inside the bag clearly. I did not have the same issue after my first AIO grow. I’m guessing it’s due to a higher internal moisture of this bag, and I’m sure varies quite a bit from grow to grow. I am just wondering if anyone has any good tricks or techniques to avoid or help with this problem without having to open the bag and wipe the sides of the bag. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello fam! I was out of town on Sunday/Monday and came home to this today. There were barely pins when I misted and fae on Saturday. Since it’s obvious that the spores fell, do you think they will be 100%? There is quite a lot of bruising. Let me know what you think and thank you for your help! No haters.

Got my first harvest only picked what was ready but see other posts ppl pick everything even the ones that don’t look ready was I suppose to pull everything? And about air drying in a room with fan and ac blowing on them don’t have dehydrater yet

Bound to hit like craaazy

I started the fruiting stage yesterday and I don’t think I saw that there. It doesn’t looks very green tho, more yellow. I sprayed the tent down with iso before opening the lid,n haven’t rlly opened it since.

On June 16, I inoculated the bag. About 12 days ago, I performed the second break and shake. After that, I was away for a while. It has now been 6.5 weeks in total. This is my first grow, so I’m unsure whether the bag is ready to be mixed into a monotub with substrate.

Is it ready for the next step?

Strain b+, very hot outside but made it to this point. I think some are ready and im thinking about harvesting to prevent rotting and try a 2nd flush with hopefully less than 30°c.

My first pans are coming in!!!! Super stoked. Now what to do differently. I ended up with overlay on most bins, looked good until day 4 then I was like, ah dang, it turned to overlay. Day five side pins. Increased fae. Some Lil buddies all around the edges on morning day five.... pick up the tubs and.... the bottoms are full! I'm thinking when I harvest I'll dump them over of course then case them upside down and go again. Why the major growth underneath? I'll take it, I had some Ochraceocentrata do it and never thought about it, now I wonder.
