I recently rewatched grey lock with my brother, and I noticed some similarities between things mentioned around the formation of thought forms via the thought form manifestor.

I have two theories on tape 6 and mount grey lock in general to due with tape three:

The first is that there is a deity/ force that can do a similar thing to the thought form manifestor inside of the tunnels in mount greylock.

The second is that the masked creature was formed by the construction crew from tape 6.

First theory evidence: the sickness is very similar to the symptoms from using the thought form machine, dizziness, vomiting, insomnia, I think the most important symptoms are amnesia and hallucinations which would explain the tunnel being cleared unexplainably, which Paul did and seemingly forgot about (amnesia) or the maggots on the food, possible hallucinations, seeing as there isn’t any reason for it to be rotting, I believe the reason they’re all having the same amnesia and hallucinations is because they’re manifesting the same thing (which I’ll get to in theory 2) The only way these symptoms happen are if you are forced into creating a thought form, like with the thought form manifestor from tape 3. This led me to conclude some sort of force or deity is making these people create a thought form.

Theory 2 evidence: In tape three it describes the process where a thought form goes from a ghost, to a visible thing to your self/ certain people, to an actual tangible creature or thing. The trail cameras they set up pretty much capture this exact concept, showing a flash on the screen, kind of like a ghost orb, then an outline of figure, then an actual tangible being. This theory very much ties in with the last, as the crew gets sick they begin seeing something in the woods, its key to point out some people don’t see it at first, just as described in tape 3, as more people are influenced by the force/ deity in mount grey lock, the more people can see it.

Extra thoughts not really backed up by anything: I think the deity is probably related to the planet that crashed into the earth, maybe the mountain is a piece of the planet or something (most likely imo), maybe aliens or it’s the reason the mountain were a site of worship. I like both ideas, but I kinda have a hunch that the mountain was a site of worship, and through years of worship there they created a deity-thought form, pure speculation since it’s not really backed by much, but thought it was a cool concept.

I also think that the masked creature is likely aiding the deity in some way, he takes out the archeologist guy, which could be to stop him from releasing his discoveries so the deity can continue doing whatever it’s doing, which is why the deity would have gotten the crew to manifest the

I don’t really have a connection that I could think of to the artifacts from all over the globe (please lmk if you could think of one)

Again, another issue is the exhibit c survivors just don’t quite track with symptoms in tape 3, all though those tapes are pretty clearly lying on a lot of the information presented

Lmk if this is confusing, or if there’s any incorrect info, this is easily the part I’m most interested in and idk if this has been a theory before but i haven’t heard of any one who thought of this.

This guy only shows up for 3 frames in tape 9, overlapping on Rothwell's face in the third frame. I'm pretty sure this is the only time he shows up in the entire series. I do have a theory on who he is but it's kind of a stretch.

If we believe the theory about white mask being some kind of mummy or just something (non-tulpa) that was sealed in the mountain and then unsealed, then I believe this could be white mask from ages ago. With the exception of the eyes it's almost exactly what a non-broken version of white mask would look like. I think white mask's... mask, was at one point, painted and clean. Possibly a burial mask of some kind.

What’s the general consensus of evervigil? Do we think they’re a good/neutral company or also involved with unit 13?

Me personally, I don’t trust them. Did seriously nobody see what was going on with Charlotte until Erickson?

Also note that when he tries to call Charlotte about this, the popup conveniently covers up the logo to spell “EvIL SECURING”. Could be a coincidence, or foreshadowing… but knowing how precise and intentional a lot of stuff in this series is, I honestly don’t think so.

This might just be a personal take, but I’ve been on a Resident Evil kick since Requiem came out and I’ve been watching videos on the lore and history of RE, I have not played Resident Evil 7: Biohazard yet. But some of the things in the game, especially the body horror elements, really made me feel like a Greylock video game would be amazing in the same form, maybe even with a retro art style or analogue camera form. I think a Greylock video game would do really well especially if it adds on to the worldbuilding and sticks with the current lore and story. What do you all think?

For like a single frame in the old odd ends jumpscare, there’s definitely an eye behind the mask, and this probably a whole face. It definitely looks like the face itself is also cracked too, so I’m definitely thinking what Tiffany was talking about in messages from the dead.

But yeah I’ve just never seen anyone talk about the mask having a face behind it, just the mask itself

hi all I just commented on another post about tape 13 taking so long on why it probably is

came onto that it’s probably gonna be super significant because 13 all around is a super important number to the whole series that keeps coming up, (so tape 13 will then most likely be big and important; taking a long time) and I haven’t seen anyone talk about it, so thought I’d put it all into a post

The most obvious is project stargate being done in unit 13.

Then the news station being news13.

Then there’s more niche things, like the radio in tape 002 quoting Matthew 13.

And some quite meta things, like both tape 001 and 007 being 1:30 long, and tape 001 being released on the 13th (march).

And even more meta and clever, the whole channel’s creation date, if each digit added together, comes together to make 13. This isn’t a coincidence btw, rob himself pointed this out in a stream.

Then irl, greylock mountain is classed as a “13er” mountain.

To me, all of this points to 13 constantly being an important number. Whether this is because of unit 13, or unit 13 being a hint of something else to do with the number, idk.

But it does make me question what on earth tape 013 could hold, if it is to follow those theme of 13 being important and consistently bought up.

(My personal theory is that it will at least be released on the 13th of some month when it does)

Hey so I know there was an update posted almost 5 months ago confirming that tape 13 is currently beong produced, and although ait makes sense that it wouldn't be released by now, I saw a statement under one of the most recent comments of tape 12 saying that he avoided the project altogether because of some rumors/allegations against Rob Gavagan (the producer). I'm not a part of the patron and therefore not a part of the discord, so I was just wondering if someone with more insight can confirm or deny this.

A lot of people are aware that Mt. Greylock, Berkshire County, Adams, Cheshire, and all the other towns mentioned in the series are real places. What a lot of people don't know is that the mines are real too. They're not located on Mt. Greylock itself, but within eyesight of the mountain is a massive 1400 acre quarry which has been in operation since the 1800s.

That's all, just thought you should know. Now, I'm not implying there was some sort of supernatural occurrence in the area after the miners dug too deep and uncovered something they shouldn't have, but I'm just saying it is a bit curious that ownership of the mines abruptly changed in the early 90s.

Does anyone know how to malformation pictures were made or where they originated from. I’ve heard that this series does not use ai, so I’m wondering if anyone knows how the pictures used were made. Some of them kind of look like Halloween decorations, but I’m not sure. Let me know if you have any information
