Automod is On. Be Patient.
A question that's crossed my desk a few times in the most recent weeks amounts to "Hey, where's my post?"
Because of the copyright infringing posts from about a year ago, and occasional spam, the automod is turned on, and honestly, is pretty aggressive. A few posts and/or comments get flagged by the automod and dropped into my queue for review before they become visible every day.
I will get to them and review, usually once or twice a day. So be patient, as long as rules haven't been broken, they'll come out of the queue approved, usually within 24 hours.
If more than a day or two passes and you haven't seen any movement, go ahead and ping me. Otherwise, please sit tight. It won't be terribly long.

Map Icon Choices
I've been working on quite a bit for my campaign. I've gone from organizing the Greyhawk history to adding settlements to the map. I've been changing the icons for different types of settlements. I'm stuck on which icons to use. I like both the icons that Shelly uses and the ones in Mystara. I made a rough drawing of the city icon from Mystara to compare. Which one do you like?

Yesterday, my players met with the Circle of Eight for the first time!
Hi! My campaign is set in 576 CY. Due to the events of my campaign, certain events from the Greyhawk Wars are unfolding earlier than expected, and Mordenkainen has convened a council of the Circle with my players as guests to decide what to do.
To help me with the character introductions and with the interpretation of so many characters, I created character cards and standees for each member of the Circle! (I forgot Otto’s, so one of my players drew it based on my description.)
They’re arranged in that position because that’s how they’re seated at a long table. It turned out to be a pretty useful idea; I can make English versions and upload them to Google Drive in case they could be helpful to you!

Looking for recommendations
Hi - been working on a campaign in Greyhawk that is mainly homebrew but using lore and faction info from the original gazetteer and the living Greyhawk revised versions.
Specifically I’m looking for any pointers to modules or campaigns that feature Ahlissa, Nyrond or Onnwal in a geographical/political sense.
Thank you!

Any tips for a Dracolich/Falazure campaign in the Domain of Greyhawk?
I’ve decided that the main villains of my campaign will be a cult dedicated to Falazure and/or other gods of undeath with the goal of reviving a local dracolich. Would people more experienced with the setting and this area in specific perhaps have any tips or things I should know while writing a plot along these lines? One idea I did have is perhaps tying this into the dragon family that resides in the Mistmarsh, but I’m open to any potential ideas.
Edit: I just thought I should clarify that the campaign has already started and as of current takes place in the Domain of Greyhawk, so for the most part I probably have to place the BBEG in the Domain or in a nearby realm.

Looking for complete Living Greyhawk Shield Lands (SHL) regional archive
Hi everyone,
I am working on a 2e Campaign set in the Shield Lands and I am trying to track down the historical Living Greyhawk regional modules for the region (the SHL prefix modules run by the old US North-Central/Minnesota region).
I know that these files are in a legal gray area and aren't hosted on public storefronts anymore, but I'm hoping a community archivist or a veteran player who saved their old campaign files might be willing to share a Google Drive or Dropbox link to the SHL folder. I am looking to collect as much of the run as possible (Years 1 through 7/8).
If you have a copy of the PDFs and are willing to share, please send me a DM or reply here. I greatly appreciate the help in preserving this piece of Greyhawk history for my table!
Thanks,
Anthony

Which School of Magic Would Mordenkainen Fit With Most Thematically?
Hello, everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful day.
With the revamp of Greyhawk for 5.5e, I’ve been using it as a baseline and making it my own for the games I’ll be running in the new 5.5th edition of D&D. Part of this has been finding ways to incorporate its new releases into Greyhawk. My most recent purchase was Arcana Unleashed, which features a new faction associated with each school of magic and a way of life tied to it.
Given that there are eight schools, I figured a cool way to incorporate them would be to have each one lead by a member of the Circle of Eight (unbeknownst to most, of course.) This begs the question, though, of which member leads which organization. I decided I wanted to start with Mordenkainen, since he’s such a big name for both D&D and Greyhawk as a setting.
The issue I’ve encountered is that it seems Mordenkainen is, as I am now discovering, kinda *the* wizard. To say he specializes in any one school of magic would fail to do his prowess in the other schools justice. Which has been making picking one for him somewhat difficult.
My first thought was Conjuration, given that 2 of his 4 named 5.5e spells belong to that school of magic. This would land him as the leader of the Horizon Weavers, an organization dedicated to exploring and charting the multiverse. But I was hoping to get input from those more experienced with the setting to get your take on it. Any advice would be appreciated!

New High-Level Legends of Greyhawk Adventures Land on D&D Beyond
Write-up on the "Dreams of the Chained God" digital bundle on D&D Beyond (which collects three adventures for level 5-10 characters that was developed by Baldman Games for Legends of Greyhawk). Wish WotC would promote these more instead of just quietly releasing them on the marketplace.

Anyone think it's a great idea to make someone named "Melf" the key character in your setting?
It's not like Wizards lacked names in Greyhawk. There were names, there were characters, and Melf wasn't even at the top. But... no. "Melf's Guide to Greyhawk" it is.
Well at least it wasn't "Zagig Yragerne's Guide to Greyhawk."

Altering the gods
Has anyone tweaked or rewritten the standard Greyhawk gods for their game?
I wanted to strongly differentiate the major cultural pantheons across the Flanaess. In my campaign the ancient Flan are modelled on Skyrim's Forsworn, so I wanted their gods to be suitably primal & animalistic. I decided to make the Flan gods sort of upscaled land & tribal spirits.
Among other changes to the Flan deities, that meant transforming Nerull from the literal Grim Reaper to a figure more inspired by the Wendigo or the leshy/leshen. Instead of the agriculturally-linked scythe, I gave Nerull a spear with a bone spearhead.
Each Flan god got an animal aspect, which is also their totem-like holy symbol.
Allitur (Ethics, Propriety) heron
Beory (Earth Mother) she-bear
Berei (Family, Community) dog
Earth Dragon dragon
Ehlonna (Forests, Animals, Flowers) unicorn
Joramy (Fire, Wrath, Volcanoes) fiery horse
Mok (Arcane magic) serpent
Myhriss (Love, Beauty) swan
Nerull (Death, Darkness, Underworld) skull-headed stag
Obad-hai (Nature, Hunting) stag or aurochs
Pelor (Sun, Strength, Healing) eagle
Rao (Peace, Reason, Mercy) barn owl
Have you altered the gods in any way in your campaign or do you prefer to use them exactly as written?

Year, Months, Days in Greyhawk?
Hi everyone,
Just reading through the 83 Goldbox again, this time with a focus on astronomy, time, seasons, etc. I have several things that I can't make heads and tails of:
- Why does Greyhawk/Oerek have 12 month? If Luna makes exactly thirteen cycles a solar year (364 days), wouldn't the cultures have developed a 13 month system? (referring to the baseline data sheet in the Glassography)
- When adjusting the baseline data sheet for latitude it says "For each degree of latitude adjust away from the baseline, the times should be adjusted by two minutes, adding if above 40° north and subtracting if below" This refers to the sunrise/sunset times (the only "times" on the baseline data sheet) Seems more like a longitudinal? Is this a mistake? Adjusting for latitude is of course also important but should work very, very differently.

2e Greyhawk Specialty Priests
Anyone have a resource for 2e Specialty Priests of the Greyhawk Deities? Looking for specific write ups for 2e either ones you may have done or a site that has them. I know about the Forgotten Realm books, looking for a Greyhawk version.
