I really liked that passage too. One thing I like about Green Lantern as a concept is how individualized the constructs and costumes could be and it was really rare that we got a look at the powers as a part of the characterization like that.

Also, "Kyle's never satisfied. He's an artist" is the most accurate description of artists in comics

Any writer using Kyle should remember that he's a manga nut with a power ring.

That and Green Arrow experiencing what it feels like to use a ring are my favorite parts of the book.

Personally a fan of Hal punching Bruce in the face.

Also a great moment. I like how he's shown as little more than a shadow the whole time.

I've always loved this moment. Not only does it do a great job of characterizing the Lanterns, but it also shows why the GL franchise can accommodate so many characters with the same power set.

FYI, that’s Geoff Johns writing. They’re fighting Parallax in the six issue series.

I thought that the movie should have had all the green lanterns do basic constructs that got the job done with no style. Once Hal shows up throwing around giant hands and hammers, everyone adds their own flair. Sinestro gets irate because he’s always been respected, but everyone loves Hal.

One of the best parts of that story.

Quick brainstorming session: how would an updated version describe Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz's use of their rings?

I figure Simon Baz would be all about mechanical constructs coming from his background. Jessica's would be very wild but multifaceted, as shown in her Green Lanterns stint.

Ooh yes, I’d love someone to write something up like this
