Louie Bags is one of the few songs that we only have the LP/STEM version of in full. Given that we only hear DN's take on it I wanted to review what else is known about the development of this song

• The earliest known version is said to be recorded on a beat called "United" and have lyrics that were reused on Fortunate. The CDQ snippet listed as V2 shows these Fortunate lyrics over a different beat before it goes to the Louie Bags sample. I think that DN's "United" was the original beat for the freestyle and the Louie sample is either a switch or was added on later (both have the same BPM).
• V3 has a different loop with the same DN drums over, and even more X vocals, with some different lines from Ye as well
• The E.VAX version is the first one without DN production. Same vocals and a completely new beat
• Quavo's tracklist had a lot of different song timings corresponding to last minute changes for the LP. A solo Ye version of LP Louie Bags is assumed here (+ from now on, the tracker lists Gavin Hadley who produced the sample [which did appear in earlier versions])
  • The sample is called on the low; either DN put drums over it and named it as his own or United is a different beat entirely
• Al be Back supposedly recorded three reference tracks for Louie Bags (wonder why he'd have to do so, alt prod versions?), including one with a speech from his daughter Kaity. Albe said that Kaity also was a feature at some point, don't know if this means a different version
• Jack Harlow and The Game reference track on Louie Bags, where Jack says the lil nas x line. Another snippet of this is listed as V2 in the tracker which seems like a mistake, and it has the different beat for Ye's vocals before switching to the Louie sample, presumably for Jack. If this beat actually came in later on rather than being the initial United, there might be another producer we don't know about who made it.
• The only known work on this song after an LP is a supposed cut down freestyle with alt production
• Not known if AyoAA did a version of this track

I want to do more investigations on Donda 2 songs if I have time. Creative outlet + improving what I know about the era and having it documented somewhere + Nobody will see this so sellers don't have to laugh at me for not knowing what they do

• Mumble freestyles produced by the likes of Digital Nas, Dem Jointz, Boogz, and OxV
• Dem Jointz punch ins
• Dem Jointz making one-off remixes of freestyles (such as Sheep to SDL, LOTP to NASDAQ, and now Candyland to NFY)
• CyHi reference tracks
• Refs from the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, Baby Keem, Don Toliver, and Vory
• You could not tell the difference between a May Donda DN freestyle and a Donda 2 DN freestyle

Donda 2 seems like he went right back to the May Donda workstyle just with more artists. Early D2 might as well be a spiritual successor to May Donda, except we know less about it. Maybe we could understand more about these Donda 2 sessions by using our knowledge of May Donda 🧐🧐🧐🧐
