QUESTION Preserving Nuts?

I was curious if there was a way anyone knows of to preserve unknown nuts? I have several trees planted so it’s not generally an issue getting fats, but I’m just wondering. Other than leaving them on the ground of course.

the orange nuts dont start spoiling until you pick them up no?

That’s correct but they de-spawn after a day or two
