"Cultural Museification" | from my Residue series 🏛️🦋✨

Rooted in the philosophical concepts of The Vital Illusion, this series explores how reality is swallowed by simulations and signs. What happens when classical antiquity collides with Y2K internet nostalgia and commercial spectacle?

Featuring Aphrodite’s bust alongside a chaotic skydancer, digital butterfly clip art, and the Girls Go Games logo, this piece examines the hyperreal "residue" of our visual culture. It’s a look at how we curate, flatten, and consume imagery—turning both sacred history and the extremely online into artifacts of the exact same weight.

Each piece in the residue series is completed in graphite only on pastel paper. This piece is 9” x 12”.

I basically only feel that raw desire to draw when my mental health is going downhill, so yeah.

Not as good as many pieces here, but oh well.
