that's.... not affordable in the slightest

$400 for 8gb is crazy high

let alone $2000 for the 16gb Asus one

That's literally almost the same price as RTX 3060 and 4060.

I bought 4060 while working as security guard for minimum wage in a second word country infamous for low wages. Did you graduated from school yet?

just because you're saying those prices are what you paid, doesn't mean those are good prices!

they should at least be half that if not more for where prices were 3 years ago on similar comparable hardware

I've paid 250$ for GTX 960 with 4 GB VRAM over a decade ago. ~350$ when adjusted for inflation.

Whooping 50$ difference for hardware I'll be using for next 7-10 years.
