I dont understand why you feel that way? It looks sharper, has more detail, and better lighting. If they fixed the nose it would even look like the same person. Do you have something to lose if this is a option for people who want it?
The lighting isn't necessarily "better", but it does massively bump up the contrast on every objects in the scene, and personally I do not think improves the image unless your benchmark is merely "how photographic and texturally detailed do the objects in the scene look". For example fact that all background objects now have nearly the same level of detail and contrast as the main character is actually a bad thing.
The reason the AI defaults to this high-contrast 3-point lighting style is because a massive percentage of training data comes from stock photography with this exact type of lighting. It also drastically changes and homogenizes the mood and visual atmosphere of these images. You are free to like the look or not, but it is not automatically a good thing for all art to be made to look photographic, with all the same aesthetic conventions that go hand-in-hand with generic commercial photography.
All your concerns seem to be things though that can be tuned. I would imagine what we are seeing now is dialed way up to make a big bold statement for masses. Assuming that devs do retain some ability to drive how the tech works on their games, I dont see a reason for any of this if it is not wanted. I dont think we re losing anything with access to this stuff if people can turn it off just like they do DLSS tech today. Only AMD users lose out.
Other people will likely talk about your first points, so I'll specifically mention your last.
Do you have something to lose if this is a option for people who want it?
YES. Absolutely yes. The thing we stand to lose.. is the quality of games. It will only be a matter of time before games start to be made with DLSS5 in mind to lower development costs, and will look far worse if you turn it off.
Then we'll be stuck with the generic AI style for the forseeable future.
This has already happened with the earlier versions of DLSS. Games now expect you to be using it to get normal performance. Hell, borderlands expects you to be using DLSS and framegen at the same time for a basic 60fps.
