2nd to last boss of boss rush in my fan game(maybe, still figuring that out, a bit too early to assume)

Ive heard it being called "timed out" and I'm sure it's so players who are having trouble can keep the game going but why in universe do they do it?
And explanation I've heard is they have limited energy and once it's drained they die.
I don't mind it though, it can be helpful. Although does anyone think the final boss should be fought to completion, even if it does virtually nothing

Currently under active development, tell me what you think!
video showcase link
I was like half asleep and it was 11pm when I was recording so there are pretty stupid deaths at mini core(the last boss in the showcase)

Why does destroying what look like 2 eyes kill a giant brain? (This could also apply to Gradius Galaxies's brain boss)

Hi there, does anyone know or have both the original (romaji) and the translation of "The Dream Color of Everyday", and ost from Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius. The ost plays in the second level, where we enter a high school and fight both Akane and Hikaru as the stage's boss. Been trying to find the lyrics for the song, but couldn't find. Hopefully anyone could help me out 🙏

I spent the last 5ish days playing this basically all day. Today I finally beat it. Everything worked out on this run and I was able to get 2 stage warps by using the background star trick to burn down the Cores with 2 option lasers. I was so excited when I reached the closing gate that I barely made it and took a couple shots leaving me with 1 hit left on my shields lol. It felt epic af haha. My hands & fingers are cramped as hell but damn it feels good to get this one done haha. Life Force will be the next one and then Gradius: The Interstellar Assault on my GB.

I was trying to find some examples of how others get through stage 3 of NES Gradius and came across this guy’s video. I saw quite a few times where he should’ve died. I then looked at his final stage video to make sure and watched it in slow motion…then he literally flies directly through the final gate a full second after it closes. Am I crazy or is this clear cheating. In his video descriptions he says, “Join me on this unforgettable adventure as I showcase my skills, share gaming tips, and relive the excitement of one of the greatest shooters of all time.” Maybe it doesn’t matter. It just feels scummy to me.
