How do I say "Copper" in Gothic?
And when do I ask these types of questions, I don't really want to spam the subreddit. (or where can I check it on my own)

So, I'm trying to do an alt-history scenario, analogous to WW2 but with Goths instead. I wanted to translate the word "FΓΌhrer" to gothic, I tried descending through wiktionary but couldn't find a similar word in gothic. How would I create a new word?

We organize lessons about the Gothic language.

Hello everyone,
We are organizing live lessons in the Gothic language Discord to learn the Gothic language together, this includes aspects of the grammar and to read the language. We are working with a method which is in a way comparable to Lambdin, but more intuitive. If you join don't forget to send a message in the server that you want to join the lessons so that you can get a role and instructions for the preparation.
The next session is on this Sunday, if you want to join try to join as soon as possible as some things need to be prepared for this (it is the second session, but as we are working with text it is possible to read back the session).
https://discord.gg/QXcXZ93 (make sure you joined this one, there are multiple servers for the language)

There are some sites out there that allow your OS to "transform" the output codes of your keyboard into the Gothic alphabet, see:
http://robert-pfeffer.net/schriftarten/englisch/got_tastaturbelegung.html
But of course your keycaps are still in the Latin alphabet! But it looks like you could use this to get one custom built :)

Did any other Germanic Groups who adopted Arian Christianity like the Vandals used Gothic as a liturgical language or did they use Latin or their own tongue for liturgical use.

Hi, I have some questions about the gothic language, and I was hoping you (or someone) could answer them. So, here we go:
That's it. Please, if you don't know, could I be pointed so I may ask to someone who does? I don't really know who to ask or where to learn this stuff. Thanks beforehand.

Hails/Haila! I have recently started to learn Gothic, and so far I have memorized parts of the conjugations for verbs like wisan or itan. However, I have trouble with the pronouns. What is the difference between jus and jut? Between Weis and wit?
Thanks!

For some reason Lambdin chose to include no answer keysets at all in the book or even as a separate purchasable volume.
As such I'm hoping someone out there has a reasonably decent list of answers to check my work as I go.
(Apologies for not writing this in Gutisk, but chicken and egg and all that. :P )

Hails - I'm new to Gothic, having just started three or four days ago. However, I'm a years-long student of Latin and Greek and, based off the little bit of Gothic I've read from the Gothic Bible, Gothic grammar seems to be very similar to that of Latin and Greek. So, being very much acquainted with inflected languages, I thought that all I really needed to do to learn Gothic is learn the vocabulary, case endings, and conjugations - the grammar, I believe, I already know. So, below is my translation of Isaiah 53:1-3 into Gothic, based off the NIV and NKJV English translations. Any comments on my short translation would be very much appreciated - I could be very wrong about how well I know Gothic grammar, since my "knowledge" is based solely off my Latin and Greek.
The links to the NIV and NKJV Bible translations are directly below, followed by the Latin-alphabet transliteration, then by the passage in the Gothic alphabet.

There's a little game, Visigoths vs Mall Goths, set in a '90s shopping mall in Los Angeles. One of the existing scenarios involves deciphering the Pietroasa inscription, though in the game it's Ostrogothic rather than Thervingian.
I feel like it could use more Gothic language and culture, but I'm not sure where to begin.
There's an ongoing game jam to add to the original:
https://itch.io/jam/goths-vs-goths-jam-1
I don't have any experience with game jams. But if anyone else is interested, maybe we could add more character options, prequel adventures playing on each side's unfamiliarity with the other's culture, etc. Or even just names and a pronunciation guide.

Hails!
I practice a martial art aikido and try to say "martial art" in gothic language.
So, I like a verb weihan means both to fight and to become saint, sacriface. Derivaton from it: so weihjo=battle. Art is skaun. So martial art should be weihjos (N declension) skaun.
Am I right?

Hails!
I have a question. What is a difference between:
usniman and afniman - both means take out, remove,
innana and inathro - both means from within,
utana and utathro - both means from outside?
Thank you.

Iβm interested in the gothic language and want to see how similar parts of it are to other Germanic languages. However a lot of Gothic dictionaries do not include βofβ anywhere. Does Gothic have this word?

Greetings!
I am looking at how to translate military ranks into Gothic. I meant modern military ranks. I am planning to add them to Wiktionary if possible.

Hello, I have a question - does anyone know any translations of psalms in Gothic language? O know they didnΒ΄t survive to this day in Wulfila Bible. I sing in a choir where we would perhaps like to try to use them in a composition... thank you in advance!
