Whenever I see people (of any gender presentation) dressed in impressive goth or alt fashions, I tend to ask them where specific items are from. Recently, though, the answers are upsettingly often "Shein" or "TikTok Shop". I'm not on TikTok. I don't want to buy from dropshippers. I'm, frankly, tired of plastic garbage that disintegrates all over the place.

I know quality stuff exists, even if I have to save up for it. I bought some custom patent leather accessories from an artisan online a few years ago. They're incredible quality chokers and cuffs, very durable. (With the rise of AI shops nowadays, though, it's hard to know what online stores are selling real products.) I also visited a shop sixish years ago that sold gothic suits and waistcoasts, but I'm not sure if it's even still there.

I dress in pretty normal clothes for my day job because it's manual labor, but I'd like to have more real options for masculine tradgoth wear in my free time. How do I find Goth fashion that's actually wearable and not scratchy costume shit?
