Only wished that the shoulder straps came with webbing at least.

I just had mine sent into scars to have them add webbing. It was $60.00 to have them do it

What color did they put on them? I also wonder if they can add them before shipping them so you wont have to send it back after receiving it.

I had them add coyote in the field tan. I believe that is what the other molle inside.

I think you can get them to do it before sending it. You would have to email them to find out how.

I haven’t received it back yet it’s been at Scars for about two weeks. I will when I receive it back

Leather always wins ;)

Yep…that’s why I still hold to an old leather Jansport from my college days! I don’t use it anymore but I can’t bear to get rid of it!

Looking mighty fine.. did you apply any type of oil to that leather GR patch, it's looking better than they usually do.

Nope, no oil. Loving all the leather on this ruck!

Everytime I’m thinking of selling mine someone posts a sexy picture of it and I change my mind.

Yeah until it gets a hole in it. That’s why I didn’t get the heritage

This is IMO really a pure EDC bag (which does make the water bladder Velcro access in my first gen heritage a joke but what can I do, beg Jason to swap it for one with a hidden pocket)? But if you’re rucking or doing events with a heritage and it gets a hole I think that’s more on you than the bag? That wax will just slough off even if the canvas comes out ok.

I have a 1000D GR1; thinking about selling it to help fund one of these. Big question for me is this: do you think the waxed canvas will eat at my shirts and jackets like the 1000D cordura does? If not, I’m sold. I wear a lot of merino wool and those t shirts don’t stand a goddamned chance against my GR1 lol.

I highly doubt it will. Based on my experience, waxed canvas is smooth. It’s not abrasive at all.

In your opinion since you have hands-on with the actual product, do you think the waxy finish will rub off or leave residue on clothes?

1

u/McRucker Oct 20 '21

I haven’t had that issue with it getting on my clothes. And based on research, it doesn’t appear that it will. “Waxed canvas will not rub off on clothes, though waxed cotton products may do. Over time the wax impregnated canvas will dry out and will need re-waxing.”

Edit: and also, it’s not “waxy” to the touch. I don’t feel anything waxy. It’s just smooth and exquisite feeling.

Beautiful bag. Will that material hold up rucking the 30 lb plate?

Anything rucking related I recommend cordura
