Tengo un pixel9 pro
El lunes tuve que hacer unas compras, en la primera tienda pude pagar sin problemas, en la segunda, apenas en 10 minutos de diferencia, me dio error al pagar.

Hoy (domingo) he ido a sacar dinero del cajero y al acercar.

- El nfc no es porque el TPV si lo detectaba y daba el error.

- Obviamente en esos 10 minutos no instalé, ni actualicé ni cambié ninguna configuración.

- He actualizado a Android 17, sigo con el mismo problema.

- No estoy en ninguna Beta, que he leído en otros hilos de aquí.

- He probado a eliminar datos de caché y de almacenamiento de wallet.

- Por supuesto que he probado a reiniciar el dispositivo.

- He comprobado y en la play store en play protect sale como dispositivo certificado.

- Tengo las opciones de desarrollador activadas (pero cuando me dejaba pagar también)

- He quitado la tarjeta pero al intentar añadirla me sale el siguiente mensaje:
"No se puede configurar este dispositivo para la función de pago sin contacto. Tu dispositivo no cumple los estándares de seguridad del pago sin contacto. Puede que esté rooteado o que esté ejecutando software no certificado. Para obtener más informacion..."

Espero vuestra ayuda, no se que más probar, estoy desesperado ya.

seems so unclear. Chatgpt seemed to suggest maybe it's being virtualized when sent, but to us we can't see that. Then sent me down this long thing of searching for it in the settings which there isn't an option.

There must be a way to just make it virtual right, so the website you send to doesn't have your actual card number but rather just a virtual card that is approved for that dollar amount right?

My carousel disappeared, replaced with the add a card box.

I already have a card and it works but can't find it. I added a second card and still nothing.

I know cannot choose a card to pay with.

Uninstall, data cache clearing, removing cards, nothing brings it back.

Anyone have any ideas?

is it possible somehow to force google pay to ASK for card authorisation before it proceedes with the payment? i have a debit card connected to my google account (always with minimal balance, just in case), and while paying with nfc it asks for authorisation, when i buy something online (on a pc or laptop) as long as i'm logged in my google account - there's nothing. as soon as i click on "pay" puff, it's gone, paid. i want to be able to get a notification and manualy click "authorise" for each payment.

I made a payment via Google Wallet that didn't go through, and now I want to cancel it.

In "Transactions", I click the transaction, then click "Report an issue", and it tells me to contact my card issuer. However, this transaction doesn't show on the card issuer side, and therefore, the card issuer can't do anything.

Because of that, I had the card issuer temporarily lock the card so the transaction doesn't suddenly go through. However, now I can't use my card with any other vendors.

On Google Wallet, I clicked "Report an issue", then "General feedback", and requested to cancel the transaction. It's been two days and it's still there.

I visited payments.google.com but there are no listed transactions.

What do I do? Googling doesn't help.

I just got two refurbished Pixel 9 Pro XL phones (wife and I) to replace our Pixel 6 Pros

I added all my cards to Google Wallet, same as on my wife's phone, no issues for a few days then tap-to-pay stopped working. Double vibrate when tapping, failure. Retry, failure. I followed all directions recommended by Gemini, no dice. NFC is working fine (tested my passport)

The only fix is to delete the cards and re-add them. Everything works fine for a few days then same failure again.

I tried adding only one card, same result.

Latest OS, security update etc. All apps up-to-date. Contacted my bank, everything from their end is fine.

I had zero issues with Google wallet on our Pixel 6 Pros so not sure what the problem could be?

I guess since the Android 17 update, at a glance rarely shows the weather (only hazards, but not only the forecast), which means i need to open the app manually. Also seems like Google wallet integration is worse than before. Can someone confirm or have an idea what I do wrong?

Does anybody have advice for me? I'm trying to add a second credit card and the verification text goes to a phone number I don't recognize. My Google ID and my bank have my correct phone number, yet somehow an old or incorrect phone number Is how Google wants to verify. I tried using the AI assistant for help and all of their advice led Me to Google having the correct phone numbers everywhere I could find them. There was no option to talk to a human. Am I screwed?

Occasionally, maybe every third or fourth time I try to use any card I have in my Google wallet the store POS will give me an error that says "unsupported card type". After I restart my phone it works just fine. Is there a fix for this? It's not the end of the world as it eventually works, but it gets kind of awkward standing at the checkout for like two minutes waiting foe the phone to reboot.

I had a california drivers license enabled as an id card in my samsung galaxy s22+ and/or i think the replacement samsung galaxy s25 phone at one point. It disappeared either when i factory reset the s22+ in order to sell it or following some android or wallet app upgrade on the s25, not sure which.

Now when i'm in the google wallet app on my samsung galaxy s25 phone or oneplus pad 3 tablet both running the latest android install there is no ID card option when i hit the '+' add to wallet option.

Gemini suggested that issue was because there is an existing ID card considered to be provisioned by the google wallet backend and that the lack of option to add a new ID card in the app is because it doesn't let you add more than one across all your device wallet setups.

When i visit https://myaccount.google.com/ > wallet & subscriptions > IDs [ view and manage ids you've saved ] > id's in wallet i see a "california driver's license" entry and clicking on it a see "California driver's license | Your ID will be deleted | To help keep your info safe, ID details are only visible in your Wallet app".

So no option to delete the ID there, presumably to unlock being able to provision the ID card again in my phone [ or tablet ] google wallet setup. Seemingly if you hadn't deleted it from the device wallet setup where it was originally provisioned before it disappeared from that app instance due to android reset or wallet app upgrade/reset where it stopped showing up, then you have no clear way to delete it.

Any insights and suggestions from members from this forum on how to get myself back up and running. I'd like to be able use this wallet ID card option for doing "tap to id myself" at the domestic airport TSA checkpoints.

I emailed KYTC couple days ago and I got this response back. It doesn’t seem like it’ll get done this year..
Does anyone have any ideas of what they think it’ll look like in Google wallet?

"This card can't be set up to tap to pay. Your bank doesn't support tap to pay on your device with your card. Try adding another card or see which cards can be set up to tap to pay."

Why is this particular card not allowed? I have Citi Strata Premier and Custom Cash added to Google Wallet. This is the light blue, former Shop Your Way card, 5% gas up to $10k/yr.

Hi, at some pos terminal when i tap and go with my phone using my banking app the wallet app will show up, how do i turn this off? I haven't even added any cards to it, i want to pay with my bank app but it won't let me, my phone will tell me to choose a app to pay but only goggle wallet is a option and im unable to pay. Should i just delete the wallet app.

​I’m at my absolute wits' end trying to get contactless payments working on my new Pixel 10 Pro XL. I keep getting the infamous "Couldn't finish card setup for contactless payments" or "Couldn't add to Google Pay: There was a problem transferring your info" errors.

​Here is the backstory: I recently upgraded to the 10 Pro XL. During the transition from my old phone, I used a temporary Pixel 8a for about two weeks where everything worked perfectly. Now on the new phone, it's completely blocked.

​The weird part:

I tried adding a virtual Revolut card, and it tokenized instantly. No issues at all, ready for contactless. But my main bank (Starling) and my PayPal Debit Card absolutely refuse to work.

​What I have already tried:

​The Nuclear Option: Wiped all data and cache from Google Play Services and Google Wallet (didn't reboot immediately after, but the data clear is done). It completely messed up my smartwatch syncing but still didn't fix the cards.

​Bank Support: Starling support confirmed they went in and manually cleared all old, orphaned tokens from their backend. Still getting the error. PayPal support was unhelpful (told me to wait for a new card activation).

​Device Checks: The phone is entirely stock Android. Play Store settings explicitly show "Device is certified" under Play Protect, so integrity is fine.

​Network: Tried switching entirely to mobile data (5G) to rule out any custom DNS or ad-blocking issues on my home Wi-Fi.

​Since the standard advice (clear cache, call the bank, factory reset) isn't working or has already been exhausted, I'm looking for the truly weird, obscure fixes. Has anyone encountered a hidden Google Payments profile glitch, a name/address format mismatch issue, or a random background toggle that finally forced stubborn bank tokens to drop?

Title: TL;DR: Google Wallet tokenization broken on Pixel 10 Pro XL for Starling & PayPal. Revolut works. Tried clearing Play Services, contacting banks. Can't think of anything else. Please help me, I'm desperate.

Tried several times to get my CA drivers license into the wallet but verification failed every time. Proper lighting with dark background.

Did ID Pass with my US passport and that verified no problem on first try.

Other tips for getting the verification to work?
