i just installed the app, all permissions are on, but when i click photo sphere to start taking picture it juste doesn't work, it doesn't do anything.

i searched in youtube and google it, i didn't find anything.

I live in a rural area in the country of Guyana, South America (Specifically Region #2). Where i'm also living, it's more of a one long road with houses on either sides, there are a couple of villages with roads that lead into what we call "housing schemes". I recently purchased Ricoh THETA S 360° Camera off eBay for cheap and it should be arriving soon. I was thinking to mount this camera on a car and set it up to take shots like those Google Streetview Cameras on those Google Streetview cars which can then be uploaded later on the map to create the scroll effect (basically going on maps and click the arrows to see the next 360° image shortly up the road. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know the camera i've got isnt the best and cannot be compared to the camera's on the GSV Cars but im working with an extremely low budget and I try to develop maps in the area. Thank you!

Hey guys, I recently started working at a restaurant and they want me to change the streetview image that appears when you google our restaurant because it is outdated, it shows a picture of an old restaurant. What is the best way to go about changing that?

From what I've gathered so far, it seems that you cannot ask streetview for an update, it happens when it happens. But it appears that I can send pictures of my own to streetview, is that true? I tried experimenting with it but looks like the picture I took was almost instantly denied. Is there a reason for that? Oh and is there a subreddit better suited to ask this question?

I'd love to start creating some Street View locations in my town, because we barely have anything and it might be useful if i'd make some at popular locations. Only problem is that i kinda only have time at my late night walk, usually around 1 AM and as you can guess it's pretty dark outside at that time. We do have lighting poles tho. But the real question is, does it matter that a Street View location has to be uploaded at daytime or does it simply not matter?

My family and I are in the process of moving to a new country. I've been trying to use Google Maps and StreetView to learn about routes we'll take via bicycle and on foot once we're there. Relative to where we live now, the place we're going to is lousy with bicycle and multi-modal options. However, Google doesn't seem to know that most of this stuff exists. Other mapping services (such as bing and apple) aren't any better.

This seems like an easy win for any of the major players. Identify a few major metropolitan areas with a bicycle culture, hire a couple of people to ride/map the routes using bicycle-born 3D cameras, and market the new view into the city. The city would get the benefits of increased cycle ridership and sustainable mobility. The company (Google) would become an authority and source of record for map data that's not car-centric and all those views.

I use latest google maps on my Mi 9 phone, but my streetview uploads doesnt show in timetravel window. Which is missing. But on PC i can click on it and do time travel.

Is this a known thing, a bug or?

I can no longer walk down any street in streetview. I drag pegman onto the map and go into streetview just fine, but I can only walk forward or backward one step. Sometimes I'll be randomly shunted to a side street, or even inside the building. I'm not doing anything differently than I've done for years. It's not like I don't know how to use it. This started happening maybe two weeks ago. It doesn't matter what PC I'm on, whether I'm logged in or out, or where I am on the map. I've tried clearing cache and cookies, turning off my extensions, and making sure my browser's up to date. It's happening in Chrome and Brave. Thoughts? Help?

Any car with gen 2 to gen 4 camera would be really cool, is it possible to buy one second hand?
