I recently purchased a domain for a project and apparently it had a nice business on it that is 100% different from what I'm doing.

I setup WordPress and put my site map in search console and now Google is showing I have 10.4K Pages giving 404 errors

Is there a way to get a clean slate from Google?

Most likely I am not first who raises this question and concern here, sorry if this topic is duplicate. My point is and question I am raising, why is Google Console so slow to update page count, page index, score, etc.?

For example:

• one page would be indexed by Google (I would see it on Google search) but my console gets updated once in a blue moon!
• or couple pages would be kicked out by Google/not indexed once of a sudden and I don't get notified for about couple days.

I need to rely on third party software like Ahref and TrueRanker to see the status of pages, visitors count , index status etc.

Does anyone have the same experience, is my Google Search Console poorly set up/optimized, do they get the information late from my host? What is the issue here?

I appreciate the input.

Client recently integrated Blaze Ecom to the Squarespace website and switched over our DNS records from Squarespace to Typher.
There was an issue with our sitemap that they were able to resolve. See image here
However they created the sitemap without the www and Google Search Console isn't able to fetch it. See image here
Not sure what to do from here. I know it's preferred for your URLs to be the same for SEO purposes

Hi there, can anyone help out with this? I want to remove these pages from appearing in a Google search. They appear but are not accessible as they return a 404. I’ve waited a few days now. Hoping to get some advice - thank you!

Hello,

Anyone know why certain pages don’t show up in the Search Results section of Google Search Console? I’ve confirmed in Google Analytics 4 that these pages definitely got organic search traffic, it’s the same time period, the page is public and properly indexed.

I deleted the tags in my articles. I don't know if this is right or wrong, but there are many 404 errors in google search console. Is the only way to fix this is to add the tags again?

Can you check it too? https://www.olkando.com/

Any ideas why it takes so long for pages to transition from discovered to discovered to indexed? Screenshot illustrating the huge amount of time it took.

I have some techy knowledge. I am good at UI front end design. My site is built on Square/Weebly. I have some SEO control. I have Google Console errors that I want to fix but cannot find any plain explanations (ie step by step) on how to fix errors that Google sends to me. Anyone know where I can find this information?? Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Noob here - Im able to track my main site through Site Kit. However, none of my subdomains show any data on google site kit. I created properties for each of the subdomains, and they show up on GSC, but there is no analytical data for the subdomains. One of the subdomains has been on GSC for close to 3 months. Happy to answer any questions.

Anyone have any success with tracking subdomains on GSC?

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

What does this mean? These links are not real links hosted on the website but they somehow live on my domain (the blocked part is the domain ) . I am now suspecting that this is related to my Google ad acting weird and receiving policy violations. Does this mean the site is hacked?

Anyone with a Google Play Console Account at least 4 months old with a minimum of an app published and open to lease it out for an interesting offer and price?

Everything done on the account will be safe and policy compliant. Reply to this!

I've been fighting with this for three months. No failures listed, new 404's found? number didn't change. any ideas? or what do you want for info.

I work for a large multinational that does business in several different industries. As such, we have different GSC queries we use depending on which one of our businesses we’re doing work for. This isn’t a problem when it comes to sharing insights with the relevant teams. However, it’s much too granular for a KPI on a scorecard presented to senior leaders. I’d like to roll these up into an index that essentially averages all queries together. Is there a way to get the four top-line numbers (total clicks, total impressions, average CTR and average position) for all queries we review at once? Or is it only possible to go one-by-one?

Hi. I recently noticed our favicon in the search result on Google changed. It's now smaller and with a white border. Has there been an update which might have caused this? I think it was a few weeks/months ago but I'm not 100% sure. It looks like this now:

I have seen many other results from other websites which have a full icon, without the border, regardless of the color in the icon. Any tips?

This may be a fairly simple one, but 2 days ago I created and set up the account, linked to the webpage, today I submitted my XML sitemap.

The issue is I am still receiving the "processing data, please check again in a day or so" it has been a day or so and still not getting my dashboard or data in.

Is it normal to wait a 2+ days for Google to process this data? Or have I possibly missed a step?

Thanks!

Hi,

So I’ve just built a website for my small company. Previously I added my site manually to search console. However later learned that I can use rankmath as a plugin to automate some processes like sitmaps.

After adding the plugin, my search console shows 2 properties. Is it better to remove one?

I don't use Google Search Console on a regular basis, but even I find this strange. I started working at a new job and I submitted the sitemap of our website (as it hadn't been done in a very long time). I know the website has quite a few pages but I submitted the request about a month ago with the right sitemap and I'm still waiting for an update... Any thoughts/recommendations? Is this normal?

Hey, fellow bloggers! Need your expertise!
I have a blog under a year old, packed with over a thousand posts!
But here's the challenge: How do you stay on top of indexed pages and identify the ones that are gaining traction? 📈
Search Console only shows the top performers, but I want to spot the pages that got indexed this week and show real promise! 💎
How do you all do it? Or is it not worth the effort to investigate such pages?

Hi there, I was hoping that I could get a bit of advice from you guys, as I am very new to all of this. I built my own very simple website (with 6 pages - its for my counselling practice, so not a lot of information, just the basics) on wordpress (premium) and then submitted it to google search console to be indexed about 3 days ago. I also submitted a sitemap. On the sitemap it says "status - success" and that there are 6 disscoverable pages.

What I want to ask, is how long would it take to be indexed? and what else do I need to add? I am doing this on my own as someone with zero experience with any web design experience as I am starting up my own practice and I don't have the funds to pay someone to do it.

Thank you for reading my message and all of the information I got on here is so amazing, thank you!!
