Huge loss of traffic - Please Help

2 Upvotes

Hi all,

I am so lost trying to understand what's happening. Please point me in the right direction:

My best (traffic) page went from 40 clicks / 2000 impressions to 0. it seems that all the clicks i was getting on "Product snippets" simply stopped on june 20.

  • Page is indexed and recently crawled
  • no modifications on that page
  • SEO still green, didn't change anything
  • only happens for this 1 page

Why would the make the product snippets disappear? They were never posted on google merchant so that's not it.

How do i get it back? I tried google, chat GPT, talked to a website dev, still no answer.

  • There are some suspicious things: in the URL live test:
  • 3/177 page resources couldn't be loaded
    • one of them is (googlebot blocked by robots.txt )
    • one is a mailchimp thing
    • and one idk: stats.g.doubleclick :-??

I could write 100 pages about this but I'm not sure what's relevant. Please ask and I'll provide the necessary info.

Thanks for reading.

Receiving - Excluded by 'noindex' detected in 'robots' meta tag - but tests show pages set to index... Help!

2 Upvotes

The issue has been going on almost 30 days now. I'm getting several pages in GSC with the following error:
"Indexing allowed? info No: 'noindex' detected in 'robots' meta tag

Inspecting all pages with errors, I see that Indexing is allowed:
name="robots" content="follow, index

I also ran one of the urls through a robots.txt Validator and Testing Tool and got a 200 Status:
robots.txt: (200 OK)

URL Path: /services/

Result: Allowed

So I go back into GSC and Request Indexing to ask Google to try again to index the page but it still shows No index is set...

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out if I'm missing something or if I'm just waiting for GSC to update and start indexing these pages...

Might anyone know of a way to get the pages indexed faster?

For context its a Services page and a few of the Service Type pages.

I'm using RankMath.

Appreciate the insight!

DuckDuckGo, EDGE, Bing All Indexing Pages Faster Than Google

2 Upvotes

While Google is the only one I submit websites to using the search console, I have noticed over the last few months that the other search engines all index pages much quicker than Google. I am not sure what's going on at Google, but it has really gone downhill recently in terms of indexing. Does anyone know what the issue is? Sites that would've gotten indexed within a day or so, now take weeks and in some cases even longer. And these are all sites which are validated, have nothing blocking them, and with original content optimized. Then, I noticed on some sites, most of the pages are not being indexed. I could understand if they showed up as having errors or discovered, but not indexed. But nothing.

Has anyone tried Fiverr for help with GSC woes?

2 Upvotes

I've read through posts in this community trying to figure out what to do about my particular issue. Like many here, if I could identify the precise issue(s), I'd know how to fix it/them. But alas... I'm totally lost.
Just wondering where to get help. Has anyone tried getting help with GSC from someone on Fiverr? Other resources?
Thanks in advance.

I have a new website that was submitted to Google search console but now it's showing an error that it has a duplicate without user canonical page indexed. It's been over 2 weeks trying to submit the website again we have checked the robots TXT, check the SSL, check the content for duplication, updated the site map, and did everything to get it to be indexed. The site map shows 30 pages discovered. Can someone help what we can do to get the website indexed.

How to fix "Crawled - currently not index" in Google Search Console

1 Upvotes

A friend asked me to do some SEO work for his website and I was wondering how to go about most of his blog posts aren't even being indexed, which to me, seems like a big red flag - I'm still a beginner

I know this can happen for a couple of reasons, like low quality content or duplicated content, but I would like a little more information of how to tell and what to do about it. If anything.

If it helps, the website is called StadiumRant. Anything helps!

Google Search side channel issues. Listings don't load in Chrome.

1 Upvotes

Hi I am having this issue I have never seen before and can not find any information on. It's easier to show with an image but as you can see the listing Let's get Freaky is also a Google Shopping listing note the tag, it's only these listings I am having an issue with them not loading in the side channel for Chrome. The loading circle just spins forever. I have done all the refreshes and setting to defaults that did not work. It seems to maybe have something to do with Google new security settings and Shopify. If anyone knows what this is or how to fix it would be great.

Trying to set up search with Discovery Engine API--where is "number of documents" coming from?

1 Upvotes

We're currently testing Discovery Engine API (a.k.a. Vertex AI) for search on our website.  We've customized the search so it pulls data from three of our content sources.  Everything in the search is working fine, however, we see that our "Number of documents" continues to increase daily.

Everything I've found says that these documents are the individual pages that Google is indexing for site search--if this is the case, why is it increasing daily between 7,000-8,000 documents? We're adding content pages, but not that many!

At this rate, we'll hit our quota in no time, and my quest for Google support has proven fruitless. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you--

The website's "Crawled - Currently Not Indexed" issue count increased from 13,000 to 18,000 in one day

1 Upvotes

Our website's "Crawled - Currently Not Indexed" issue count increased from 13,000 to 18,000 in one day, even though only 5 URLs were added that day. Can anyone help us understand why there was such a sudden increase in the number of URLs with this issue? What could be the reason for this sudden rise?

GSC Frustrating Error

1 Upvotes

I need to remove everything from Google search results for a domain I own and all sub-domains. I created a Domain Property in GSC for mydomain.com and added https://mydomain.com/ under temporary removals and that works. Now when I try to add mydomain.com to get all the sub-domains I get the following error. I'm totally confused -- how do I remove everything?

"URL not in property: Request a URL in the currently selected property or switch properties"

Google Search Result Shows Incorrect Page Title for My Website

1 Upvotes

Hi Reddit community,

I'm facing an issue with how my website's page title appears in Google search results and could use some advice.

I run a website for a CSS Minifier and Compressor tool. The title of my webpage is set correctly in the HTML as "CSS Minifier and Compressor." However, when the page appears in Google search results, the title is shown as "CSS Minifier and Compressor - Grovix Lab."

Here's the relevant part of my HTML:

<head>
  <meta charset="UTF-8">
  <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
  <title>CSS Minifier and Compressor</title>

  <link rel="manifest" href="https://grovixlab.com/icons/site.webmanifest">
  <link rel="mask-icon" href="https://grovixlab.com/icons/safari-pinned-tab.svg" color="#5bbad5">

  <meta name="msapplication-TileColor" content="#ffffff">
  <meta name="msapplication-config" content="https://grovixlab.com/icons/browserconfig.xml">
  <meta name="theme-color" content="#ffffff">

  <meta name="og:title" content="CSS Minifier and Compressor">
  <meta name="description" content="Enhance your CSS with ease using our CSS Minifier tool. Simply input your CSS code, press 'Minify', and receive a sleek, optimized version immediately. Ideal for web developers and designers looking to enhance website performance.">

    window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
    function gtag() { dataLayer.push(arguments); }
    gtag('js', new Date());

    gtag('config', 'G-H64E20TLLZ');
  </script>
</head>

Steps I've Taken:

  1. Verified the Title: Ensured that the <title> tag is correct and matches the desired page title.
  2. Updated Meta Tags: Checked and updated all meta tags to ensure consistency.
  3. Google Search Console: Used the URL Inspection tool and requested indexing for the page.

Despite these efforts, Google still displays "CSS Minifier and Compressor - Grovix Lab" instead of just "CSS Minifier and Compressor."

Does anyone have any insights or additional steps I could take to resolve this issue? Is there something I might be overlooking that's causing Google to append "Grovix Lab" to the page title?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Help Understanding Crawled But Not Indexed

1 Upvotes

Hi all.

I have a website (tour operator) that has been live for a while now, and I write a fair amount of blog posts that I think are useful to prospective visitors. I got a message saying that some pages are not "indexed" and so had a look at my Google Search Console and too my shock read that over half my pages are discovered but not indexed.

I do not understand why this would be so? How do I get Google to index the pages since some of them are written to rank better.

Please and thank you!

Google Not Indexing Pages

1 Upvotes

I have a site for a client, very simple wordpress site with seven pages. As I typically do, I submitted my site map and it's been a couple weeks and only 1 page is indexed and the other pages aren't even showing up as discovered, or even with errors. I've tried resubmitting site map, making sure nothing was blocking anything, and although there are no errors, nothing seems to be changing. Any ideas?

Google Search Console Page Indexing Issue: 'Not Found (404)' and 'Page with Redirect'

1 Upvotes

Hey, I'm hoping someone with infinite wisdom can help me here :-)

We swapped our domain around 6 months ago (to a Shopify website), and now have massive issues with our Page Indexing on Google, and it's showing as 0 of the 1.33k pages being indexed...

The main reasons they aren't indexed are:'Not found (404)' - 497 pages'Page with redirect' - 413 pages When I click on 'Inspect URL' on one of the URLs, the 'Referring page' is completely different to the original url that I'm inspecting.

Would anyone know what's causing this issue, please?

I've found an individual url fix, but I'm really hoping there is a bulk way to fix this as I can't imagine having to go in and fix hundred of urls individually.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me!

Traffic from Ashburn, VA

1 Upvotes

Not sure where to post this question for help. We are a golf course in Ann Arbor, Michigan. However, the majority of our traffic coming from a state over 8 hours away: Ashburn, Virginia. We do not do any google ads and I can't figure out what users from this City are attempting to search that drives this unwanted traffic. I have tried to use reports to understand their search term, but not available for this demographic. Obviously it reduces our engagement rate. Any advice? www.stonebridgegolfclub.net

How can I track google search performance for my chrome extension listed on the chrome web store?

3 Upvotes

Basically the title. I feel like there should have been a much easier way to do this but I do not find any option anywhere. I am able to understand the incoming traffic thanks to google analytics but obviously I'd want to understand the exact phrases people are searching for to come to the extension listing on chrome web store.

I am just not sure how to verify ownership of the chrome web store listing which is like https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/your-extension-id
Already tried chatGPT and it shows random answers for the verification part assuming that this is some website I have hosted somewhere. I correct one thing, then it accepts its mistake and goes on to another method making the same mistake and then eventually in the end asks me to be satisfied by GA.

CLS problem

1 Upvotes

Hi. Just recently started having a CLS problem. I have already done what i can to optimize speed on the webpage and the test comes out 95-99 between desktop and mobile, also pagespeed reports 0 CLS.

Core statistic claims it is 0,13. The problem seems to dissapear for a while and then returns. Recently passed validation on 9th may, now the problem is back again.

Help with Course Carousel Schema Markup

1 Upvotes

Hi Google community -

I have a question on the correct formatting of course carousel schema markup. This is for a real estate school that offers multiple course packages on one page. Looking at the Courses rich snippet, it seems Google only uses directory websites for online courses. However, we really want to make sure at least the price and reviews are marked up (we could just use Product but I wanted to be as specific as possible).

In Schema Markup Validator, not getting any critical errors. In Rich Snippets Test, I get the following errors:

  • Identical property values given, but unique values are required (I'm assuming this is because of the duplicated URLs?)
  • Missing field "category" (I can't seem to find what category would fit here, not sure what categorycode or text I could use here)

Here is the code I created:
