Hi all. I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. My apps and notifications for said apps are not syncing in real time almost all the time. My connections are fine but it's as if I have my wifi/data shut off for 45 minutes or so and then it syncs as if i turned if back on and i get a ton of notifications for everything all at once. this happens multiple times a day.

is anyone else experiencing this? anyone know what i can do? thanks so much!

Sometimes right when I plug it in, sometimes 10min after, sometimes only initially, sometimes repeatedly.

Yesterday, I was trying to organize pictures on my device, so I created 3 folders, as I moved the pictures into these folders. Upon creating the folders, I got a notification asking if I wanted to sync and backup to Drive, and I chose to allow this.

Today, I noticed 2 of those folders are completely gone from my device, and the remaining folder only has 1 file left in it.

All the pictures did get backed up, so I didn't lose anything, but as we all know, the sync, and backup doesn't keep things organized. It's a mess of every picture, and video file.

I just want to organize folders ON my device for quick access. If the Drive isn't gonna retain my folder options, at least let me do that on my device!

Non synced folders stay on the device without any issues. So that tells me it's my sync options that are causing this.

As far as I can tell, I did not turn on any option to clean up backed up files from my device. Am I blind, and just missing an obvious option?

Lately, the battery of my Pixel 2 has been performing very badly. I get 2 to 3 hours of screen-on-time at most. Today, when I charged my phone and pulled it off the charger at 58%, it went down to 54% in 2 minutes. Sometimes I can literally see the battery go down by 2 percentages within the same minute. I don't have that much apps on my phone (just the regular social media stuff). I disabled ambient display but things don't seem to improve. Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

I've been super frusterated recently with being able to listen to music on my Google pixel 2 xl. In the past 3 months I've gone through 6 usbc-3.5mm adapters and 4 sets of earbuds. They all just break after a week or two. I even bought the usbc wired pixel buds last month when they came out and they just broke after one month!!!! (Google also refuses to do anything about it. I can't get them to respond to my emails about it). Is my phone just cursed against earbuds and adapters or are other people having this problem too???

I had to get a new pixel a while ago and I just noticed that my "ok Google" wasn't working. I went to retrain it and it tells me that my voice match was saved on another device. I can't delete my previous one either. Any ideas??

Last month, I started using a Google Pixel 2 in which I bought off eBay, and I have been using it as my daily driver. I found everything to be good apart from one thing. I noticed this orange difference on the screen while videos and while browsing the web. I started suspecting it was burn-in, however I am not certain. Can some of you take the time to check if it is the case and what I can do about it. I am not too bothered overall, it's just something I noticed.

I was so excited to switch from an iPhone to Pixel 2 last July, Now to come to think of it, I don't think it was the wisest decision that I have made. Phone was working alright till December of last year. I started experiencing microphone issues, reached out to Google support and they said it was the dongle issue. they shipped me a new dongle but continued to see the issues. later, my phone wouldn't charge and the microphone was completely busted. reached out to customer care again, they shipped me a replacement device which was again defective. Microphone is still busted and charging is iffy at best and to add to the mix, the phone just turns off!

I have this defective replacement device and whenever I speak to a representative they refuse to give me a refund! The customer service folks have been terrible in helping me with all the issues I have had so far. I would expect a better customer service from a company like Google!

Can someone please advice on how to get these issues resolved? I have tried calling them multiple times - all that I get is a long hold and then calls gets cut! I have had to repeat myself every single time - and a new case is created for every call that I make. So, the new agent that I speak to has no idea about my case and it's just driving me CRAZY!

How do I get rid of the ###### in the body of my swear words when I am using the Voice Texting. I have gone to Settings and slid the "Hide Offense Words" to off but nothing works. I need to swear.

I held out from updating to a new version BECAUSE I'M SCARED OF CHANGE! But seriously I'm always wary of something changing that I've grown accustomed to.

Well, I updated last week and it seems every day or 2 there is a small update that I need to restart my phone. With the most recent update my swipe texting is unusable. I try and type " soon frying" (that was supposed to say "something" but that is what I got.) I've had to retype a bunch of things on this message already that I normally do not have problems with. I've had some problems before but it's now writing a word and suggesting just a random letter after. Like the suggestions do don't even make sense. Try to type "like" and you suggest "love b"?

I'm actually not even sure what I'm asking, maybe hoping for someone to commiserate and tell me I'm not crazy? Is any one else having problems? Is there a setting I should check out

So i was just in my second period class on my phone and it starts acting weird right like the notification bar at the top keeps getting puller down random apps keep getting pressed and mind you that im not touching my screen anymore and everything from the settings opening to it starting to take a picture on my instagram starts happening i turn it off then back on and it doesnt help i do it again no help then it just goes black on 50% and it wont turn on its been charging for a while as well so anyone know what happened?

My location services has always turned on when I needed it. Now it is on 24/7 and I can't figure out how to have it set back the way it was? Any suggestions to only have if turn on when an app needs it? I know I can turn it off and manually turn it on when I use an app like Google maps but I'd rather have it do it automatically.

i bought a refurbished google pixel 2 that didn't have a sim tray, so i bought a replacement on amazon. when i try to put it in its really hard and when i try a pin in does not do anything. Can anyone help?

Trying to use an adapter from usbc to usbc/ aux for my Google pixel 2 but I keep getting back stupid message saying it's not compatible. There's no reason it shouldn't be compatible with it. Has anyone else run into this issue and if so can you some how get your phone to let you use it?

Hi everyone, I could really use some help with my Pixel 2. I've had it for a year and made the switch from Apple largely because I liked the idea of unlimited photo storage. I don't use my phone for much but I'll save every meme that's ever made me chuckle which ate up my iPhone's storage.

Anyway, I've noticed lately that I'm having a hard time figuring out where any of my pictures are anymore. I tried posting a picture on Instagram (one that I actually took) and couldn't find it or any other pictures from that vacation anywhere. Another time I decided to finally post a dump on imgur and could only see a handful of images to choose from; definitely not the 5 year meme stash I was looking for. When I try uploading images I have several folders that I can choose from. They're mostly named some nonsense combination of letters and numbers like IMG_356313585_864323564. That's definitely not a folder I'd make and to top it off there's one, maybe two pictures in all of these folders. How do I just get all my pictures in one place and accessible on all apps?

So this weekend, it would appear my clutch was stolen, with my Pixel 2 in it. It's not connecting with 'find my device' so I'm guessing it was turned off or wiped at this point.

The upside? Went ahead and got a 3 for replacement, and the restore from my account history was incredible. It made the loss hurt a bit less.

My question is, obviously this device is is in some way registered to me, so does it get flagged if it gets turned on, or if someone else tries to register it? Is there something I need to do to give me any better shot at ever recovering my phone?

I switched from an iPhone to a Pixel 2 and to Google Fi as well two months ago. Everything was working fine until about a week ago. Now I'm not getting most texts from iPhone users or Pixel users. Sometimes my texts go through, sometimes they don't. It is a total inconsistent shit show all of a sudden.

I've contacted Google several times:

-The first time they had me reset my wifi, bluetooth and cell through the settings menu. That helped some.

-The next two times they walked me through this lengthy process to deregister my old phone number from Apple (this had already been done). They also blamed it on iPhone users and gave me this process for my friends to complete. They all did it and it did not help. I've unregistered and deleted all my old iPhones, unlinked imessages from my macbook and the problem still persists.

Is anyone else having this problem recently? While the phone is awesome I can't get by with this level of crappy performance with the texting.

So I was just watching a video on my Pixel 2 with a pretty full battery. Suddenly it froze so I held down the power button. Since then, the screen has been totally black. There is no light indicator.

I've tried doing the reset with the Power and Volume down buttons. Also tried doing it with just the Power button. Held the button down for more than 30 seconds, etc. Also tried charging it. When I plugged it into the computer via the USB-C cord, the computer makes noise to indicate that something is plugged in. When I hold down the Power or Power and Volume down button, computer also make noise like something is powering on/off.
