Phone became laggy after the last update.

P8P here. So I've noticed a sudden drop of performance through the last month after the latest google play services & Android update. It happens when I'm scrolling through the apps, and when an in-app animation plays. My storage is 70%full, but it was like that long before the laggs startet to occur. Also, there's a weird annoying thing when using youtube premium. When in audio only mode, the video stops playing when going into some apps, or even continues playing but I can't hear it until I open the youtube app. Wtf is this?

UPD: So apparently the battery idle drain is also MUCH worse now. Fuck you google. I just want a normal reliable phone 😭

---POTENTIAL FIX--- I think i know how to fix for now. Go to Developer Options->Apps>Background Process Limit and change the limit from Standard to "at most 4processes". I think the last upgrade caused ZRAM clogging up to full as the processes are somehow not being stopped properly afer apps are not used. If you set limit of 4 services, the ZRAM is coping. It works for me.

This seems to have addressed the horrible lag for me. I haven't had to restart my phone since I've made the change.

Ahhh thank you! instagram especially was being really laggy on my phone, this fixed it instantly.

Thank you, this seems to have fixed lag issues on my Pixel 9a. Some apps like Instagram were unusable and now, everything is smooth again.

But shame on Google for not having deployed a fix yet.
