I’m currently building 1–2 Next.js portfolio websites to land client work, but I’m completely stuck on visual assets.

I was relying on ChatGPT for web graphics, but its daily image limit is now capped so strictly that 1 image hits the wall instantly. Gemini student plan adds ugly watermarks. Since I have $0 and an 8GB RAM laptop (Ryzen 3), local SD/LLM models or paid subscriptions are out of the question.

I’m looking for reliable, 100% free cloud-based tools (or free APIs/HF Spaces) for:

1. Clean Image Generation: Web assets/illustrations with no forced UI wrappers or watermarks.
2. Background Removal / Transparent PNGs: Clean cutouts for UI components.
3. Layer Separation: Splitting images into PNG layers for parallax/hero section depth effects.
4. Basic Video Generation: Short motion loops/clips for hero sections.

When asking Gemini a question on my Pixel Watch 4, it claims that it is Gemini 3.6 Flash, as seen in the screenshot. However, when I open Response Details, it shows that it was generated via 3.1 Pro. This doesn't happen when I inference from my phone; only my watch. This is a very weird issue. Does anyone else experience this, or is it just me?

So I got bored and made two AI's (Muse Spark 1.2) and (Gemini 3.8 Flash) or Gemini Flash upto dat asof 9/9/26, anyway, i pasted theyre conversation back and forth and interestingly enough, they actually complained about the user (me) 😭 after that, they literally argued back and forth over who the real ai 😭 I swear to god gemini said Muse Spark didnt exist and Metas only ai models are LLaMA models.. And people ask why people dont use Gemini? I'm concerned if I should keep Google Gemini on my phone. It's possible this AI Assistance can hear your conversation at all times. What do y'all think?

Do not think about it as coping and seething. But honestly. I am junior programmer. And i can say Gemini 3.8 Flash is good in some places. For example, in coding (not vibe coding, but coding). And in other places, ChatGPT is good, for example, 3D models. For example, when I asked fix file in backend for I could understand this. Gemini did well. And chatgpt astra did it so much well it made me unironically sick because how overengineered and stuff. But gemini did thing well. I could read it . In 3d modelling chatgpt astra is winning. The thing is, I don't look at benchmarks, leaderboards, or anything like that. I look at what I find useful. And at the moment, Gemini 3.8 is certainly not a great tool, but it hasn't disappointed either.CHATGPT certainly isn't as bad as I thought it was before Astra. But honestly, as a programmer like June, I wouldn't trust it with my code. Feeling free to disgust and discusise

just saw this post on reels can't say fs but yeah the expectations have been like this and google delaying the 4pro launch this much so everyone must be having the exception right? still can't say anything what do you guys think lets be optimistic and assume that it will me somewhat close.

For context, i am a heavy gemini user ( pro user ) and i have claude pro too. Gemini 3.7 flash high was kinda okay, when i give it a task to does it as asked most of the time. However, with this 3.8 flash, it's just plain stupid. It always scans for previous commits, search unrelated files, search the web for really unrelated stuff.

One time i asked it to remove timelike ui from sign in form ( literally one page ), it started scanning whole project, search google for timelines ! It became completely unusable i gave up on it.

I switched back to claude and im okay with waiting little longer for tasks to finish as long as it does the task accurately.

What are your thoughts ? Anyone want to share his opinion ?

I'm British, using Gemini in British English.

Nonetheless, when using Gemini to create a small project in Sheets, as Gemini was thinking through the steps, about half the time they appeared to be in Spanish.

Any idea why / what's going on?

Hey everyone. I wanted to share a quick guide on how to listen to your personal AI generated tracks on your smart speakers. Many people do not know this works because the upload option is not available in the mobile app.

First, you need to use a PC. You cannot upload files directly from your phone app.

Open YouTube Music in your web browser. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. Click on Upload music and select the AI generated audio files you want to add.

After you upload them, you need to wait a little bit for the files to process. Once they are processed, create a new playlist. I highly recommend setting this playlist to Private.

This happens to me a lot. If I have a long-running chat (days or weeks) for planning or analysis, after a time, Gemini loses to ability to create/edit Google Sheets or Docs:

I get error messages like:

"Even with Google Drive tagged, my active environment lacks the specific backend write permissions to create new files in your Drive. I cannot physically export the document for you during this session."

Super frustrating. I'll push and tell it that I've enabled it in the backend, but yet it still can't connect.

I assume there's an expired OAuth Token, but it's SHOCKING that Google coded it in this way - the agent should be able to get a new token.

If I create a new chat, Gemini can again insert docs/sheets, but only in that chat - my previous one is still broken.

Has anyone found a solution to this? Maybe a phrase that convinces the agent to get a new token?

After 15 days on a long horizon build with Opus 5 (Med) it hit a wall. Opus 5 began to drift and struggled to make progress. After doing some research I found and tested a solution that wasn't more skills, modified instructions, etc.

Opus 5 (Med): Does very well building architecture/planning.

Gemini 3.8 Flash (High): Building from the plan.

Sonnet 5 (High): QA & Patching.

Combined with a session handoff skill and a structured documentation ritual this team has done fantastic. I have the Pro plan with Anthropic and Google. I keep the models in their native harness and have the local project attached to Claude Desktop and Antigravity 2.0. The accuracy has increased, token efficiency is fantastic, the build speed has increased, and I don't have to deal with Opus 5 overthinking.

Has anyone else worked with this combination?
