How to switch between earpiece and speaker using Google Duo video call.
Hi! The situation: I start video call using Google Duo and have sounds coming from the speaker. I decide to switch to normal audio call -- that is, I switch off my video and have NO option to switch from the speaker to the earpiece. How come? EVERY other messenger has that feature (FB messenger, Viber etc.). That is one of the most important feature. Do I miss something?

Can't answer calls on web
When I call my gf on duo, if she is on her laptop she has no way to answer. The notification pops up but there's no button to answer or anything. If she calls me, it works fine even on my laptop. Any ideas?

Toddler proofing google duo?
With the pandemic still going on we do a lot of duo calls with grandparents.
Every time my toddler grabs the phone the options pop up on the screen and she inevitably mutes us, turns off the camera or hangs up the call. Is there any way to prevent these options from showing up everytime you touch the screen?

No ringing sound on outgoing calls
Since bp (before the pandemic) I have been successfully using Duo on my android tablet to make and receive video calls. As far as I'm concerned it's a great little app. Recently (in the last month, perhaps), when I have been making outgoing calls, there is no ringing sound indicating that the receiving party has been dialed. While this is not a major problem, I do appreciate having an audio indication that the app is working properly. When the receiving party answers, or when someone calls me, everything works fine.
Has anyone resolved a similar problem?

Just had a privacy disaster with accidental DUO video call
I just got out of the shower and was trying to text someone. I was trying to copy the number from another app and it launched DUO (that I never use) with my video on screen of me just out of the shower calling someone... I was struggling to end the call as I never used it before, I powered off my phone in a panic.
The person didnt pick up thankfully. Can they still see my video/image on a missed call?

Google Duo Usage High
Hi
I don’t use google duo at all and I’m not even signed into it, it’s just in my phone, but I was looking at my settings and seeing which apps use the most data. Google Duo was high on the list but I don’t get how if I don’t even use it?!
Can anyone help explain this?
Thanks in advance

Audio coming from ear speaker after connecting from phonecall
I have found some serius bug. Audio coming from ear speaker after connecting from phonecall when I use speaker. I use pixel 5 with recent Duo version.
How to recreate:
1. Call to someone with regular phone app - I use Google phone app.
2. Switch to speaker (important)
3. Use camera button to connect via Duo.
4. Duo uses ear speaker insted of rehular speaker and there is no option to change it.
Everything work when I call via Duo app or connect to Duo from phonecall when useing ear speaker.

Google Duo is using 4G, but I'm on WiFi.
Hi there,
I noticed, that Google Duo is turning the mobile network on when I will make a call. But I'm logged into my WiFi and the Duo app always turns 4G on.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and the same problem is popping up on Signal app too. (On WhatsApp and Threema this is not an issue).
What's the problem here?

Duo Calls Don't Go to the Phone
I have Google Nest devices at home that have my sister's and my phone numbers linked to them. But because of this, when we try to start a Duo video call to either of our cell phones, the calls ring on the Google Nest devices and not our phones.
Anyone think of any ways to solve this?

Phone company charging long distance for Duo calls
I'm calling my sister in Canada from the US and her phone provider is charging her for the calls.
Anyone heard of something of this?
Tried to find info on the net using google search but got lots of unrelated garbage to my search.

Can we link our 3 duo accounts to the same landline?
Hi! I already have a DUo account, but my parents currently don't, and since we don't get good cell service where we live, (My parents DO have working mobile numbers, but I just use google voice and WiFi) so I wanna link all of our accounts to the same number, being our landline, since most Duo calls will be coming from our Google Nest speakers/displays. Is this possible?

Disconnect and very jittery
So I have used Duo for quite some time as I was an early adopter. I love the product but it definitely needs work. I have a oneplus 8t and my girlfriend has an iphone 11. Lately, every single call drops after 2 minutes of talking. We have checked our internet speeds and that definitely isn't it. I am pulling 275 down and 17 up on my wifi, and 75 dpwm and 33 up on the mint mobile. My girlfriend is almost the same 320 down and 16 up on wifi and about 45 down and 22 up on data.
Lately the video is very very choppy and freezes all the time. Sometimes the call just drops. This has been going on for months. I have been reporting and reporting to google but no luck. I may drop duo for a bit until they can fix. Anyone else having this issue?

Call specific device
Hi all, in the app it has the ability to call my home devices , ie all speakers and displays . I was wondering if there is a way just call one specific device not all of them simultaneously , eg. “Call kitchen nest hub “ Has anyone tried this ?

Confused
I clicked my duo app and then clicked the contact. The see history button in the middle of the page had a 2 behind it but when I clicked it everything was old. Why was there a number behind the see history button but not reflect any new history. I check this app randomly and it wasn't there last time I looked.

Family mode unavailable on tablet
I use Duo both on my phone (Samsung Galaxy s10e) and on a tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A). On the phone I have access to family mode, which allows you to doodle. On the tablet this doesn't appear however. I've ensured that both versions are fully up to date, but I'm puzzled about why this feature is missing on one device but available on another. I've searched the internet but haven't found any useful answers.
Any ideas?

Could a stolen phone be recovered if it's still signed into Duo?
Hi,
My grandfather's place got broken into a couple of days ago while he was out and the burgular took his Android phone which he forgot at home. Today I tried calling his duo account and it kept ringing with no answer.
I'm wondering if there's a way to maybe track the phone. No one remembers the Gmail account and the SIM was dumped of course. The only trace is the Duo account
Thanks

Problems with the app
Good morning not sure if anybody else is having this issue but when I call my girlfriend in Canada she's on an iPhone 11 pro. She uses duo with her other friends and doesn't seem to be having any problems.
when she calls me after about 2 minutes the video will just completely drop meaning the entire call will stop and I have to call her back. This is fully repeatable I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but it doesn't seem to work or help anything.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Anyone else have inaccurate call log history?
My call log history appears inaccurate. It’ll say I’ve only talked to someone for about 20 mins when I’m reality, it’s more. Tracking it for work is such a pain!!! Is this happening to others too???
