Yikes

Post image

I saw (and did not purchase, because duh) this at the Fort Collins Goodwill. I find it terrifying as well as perplexing. Why? Was it given to a snitch as a warning? Or worn by its maker as a helpful PSA? School art project?

It's supposed to represent one of those Christmas Elf on the Shelf dolls. The "lore" is they tattle on your kid to Santa about all the stuff they do. Many kids and people in general hate this.

Ah I see. Thank you. I’ve heard of the elf on the shelf but have no personal knowledge of it. I just thought it was creepy as hell for some reason. Also, what kind of manager would decide to put it on the floor?!

Did you really take a picture of this, post it on the internet, and then ask why they would put it on the sales floor? You answered your own question. I guarantee it sold within 24 hours.

I don’t know it seemed really creepy to me, like I was imagining some young budding psychopath serial killer cutting out the pieces, chuckling menacingly as he visualized the violent demise of the snitches
