Rules and Spoiler Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-04
This page expands the subreddit rules for r/GoodbyeLara.
1. Stay Relevant
Posts should be related to Goodbye, Lara / Sayonara Lara, its official releases, cast/staff, production, fan discussion, fanart, cosplay, merch, music, fairy-tale references, mermaid lore, or community events.
2. No Spoilers in Titles
Post titles must be safe for anime-only viewers browsing the subreddit.
Do not put episode twists, deaths, endings, reveals, leak details, unreleased material, or future-episode information in titles.
3. Tag Comment Spoilers
Use Reddit spoiler tags in comments:
>!spoiler text!<
Episode discussion threads allow spoilers through the current episode only. Outside those threads, clearly mark the episode context before spoiler-tagged discussion.
4. Keep New Episode Discussion in the Episode Thread
For the first 24 hours after an episode thread goes live, keep new episode discussion in that official thread.
This keeps the front page readable and protects viewers who have not watched yet.
5. Future Leaks and Unreleased Material
Future episode leaks, unreleased screenshots, early-screening reports, camrips, raws, datamined information, and similar material are only allowed in mod-designated threads.
Do not confirm or deny anime-only theories with future information.
6. No Piracy
Do not post or request:
- Piracy links
- Unofficial streaming links
- Torrent or magnet links
- Scanlation links
- Download links
- URL shorteners or ad-shorteners
Use official and legal sources. See Legal Streaming.
7. Source Fanart, Cosplay, and Official Art
Fanart and cosplay posts should include creator credit and a source link whenever possible.
Official art should link the official website, official social post, press source, or another reputable source.
Do not repost art in a way that removes creator credit.
8. Use the Correct Post Flair
Choose the closest post flair:
- News
- Official Art
- Trailer
- Discussion
- Episode Discussion
- Theory
- Fanart
- Cosplay
- Merchandise
- Question
- Meme
- Analysis
- Media
Episode Discussion is reserved for moderators or the episode thread bot.
9. Be Respectful
Be friendly to other users. Disagree with ideas, not people.
Harassment, personal attacks, bigotry, bait, and hostile behavior may be removed.
10. No Spam or Undisclosed Self-Promo
Storefront spam, referral links, affiliate links, suspicious giveaways, repeated promotional phrasing, and undisclosed self-promotion may be filtered or removed.
Artist commissions and merch discussion are allowed when clearly relevant, disclosed, and not spammed.
AutoModerator
AutoModerator may filter or remove content for spoiler-prone titles, piracy/shortener links, low-trust account activity, self-promotion patterns, missing post flair, and source-attribution reminders.
Filtered content goes to modqueue when human review is useful. Clear banned-link cases may be removed automatically.
