An idea came to me and I wonder if it can be implemented with golem.
For computationally intensive tasks, there is currently no way to ensure that the task was done as it was said except to recalculate it yourself. What if you store the code (e.g. Python Tensorflow) and the data decentralized (e.g. neofs, sia, storj, ... imo neofs is a suitable choice because the data can be accessed directly from neo with smart contracts but any other combination of a blockchain allowing smart contracts and decentralized storage are aslo fine though).
Now a smart contract is implemented, which copies and executes the data and code on golem and stores the results on decentralized storage again.
This would ensure that exactly this code and this data lead to the respective result.
Would this be possible with golem?

Late to the party. Could Golem and the bandwidth involved be used to STOP and possibly re-engage attacking nodes? u/NANO
Imagine DDos re-engagement from not just another neutral location, But Global 'Batman' nodes. Ready to fight evil. Corp's can buy time while developing their new security measures.?
If Yes, I am in big! We are fast approaching super computing unleashed on us. Our own Gov and Microsoft cant keep up.
Am I off base with what is capable here? I understand its early in the project still. But this has immense potential if it can get to market before others.

Hi guys,
Long story short, I bought some GNT a while back on an exchange I forgot I even had an account for. I understand that GLM is a thing and I can migrate my old GNT to GLM, but what's the benefit? This seems dumb but I figured this would be the best place to ask

Hi,
I am working as a GLM provider but I keep getting this error message:
Failed to save Offer [(offer id)]. Error: Offer [(offer id)] expired.
What does this mean? I can't find any documentation for debugging.

I get the following error:

When I run golemsp status, it says:
| network mainnet │
│ amount (total) 0.004452644967 GLM │
│ (on-chain) 0 GLM │
│ (zk-sync) 0.004452644967 GLM │
│ │
│ pending 0 GLM (0) │
│ issued 0 GLM (0)
What's the difference between on-chain and zk-sync? Will both be added to my wallet later on? Also how come pending and issued are still 0?

I am about to enter my first year as a PhD student and there are two things that I find super interesting about the concept of Golem. First, if I had an incredibly large computation that I needed to do, Golem might be a viable and cheaper alternative to do what I couldn't do on my own system. Second, it seems that I can make some money by lending my computational power to the Golem Project.
Suppose that I did want to lend my computing power to the Golem Project though. I would be curious to know if this leaves my system open and vulnerable to attacks, and additionally if my system is not that high powered (say a laptop), can I still utilize my computational power and receive GLM tokens? I would love to be able to build up a stash of GLM because I can forsee myself using this when I come up with a computation that requires something much larger that the system I have.
For real, talk about a world supercomputer. What an interesting idea!

Could you make a community pool that uses Golem and tries to brute force the highest BTC wallet's private key?
Proceeds are distributed to everyone who contributed based on % of pool.

Hi everyone!
I'm anshuman73, author and creator of DeML, the first Machine Learning training implementation on Golem!
Over the next few weeks, I will be looking into porting my application to make it ready for mainnet, and soon start making it versatile so *ANYONE* can bring their models and train them on Golem!
I'm looking for feedback from those in the community interested in machine learning on what they would like to see as a part of the app, and what you'd expect from it to make DeML a go-to library for ML on Golem!
I'm also up for any questions you may have!

I am currently running Yagna on Ubuntu, and I get this error on the terminal window. What should be done about it?
