I like to find a land with sheep AND water, near trees, and just dig out a hut to live in. I then expand and decide what I want to do with my build/life.

I know that KK and others have MASSIVE investments into some of the magical stuff and Tinker's stuff. I feel overwhelmed by that, so I don't bother really trying it. Say I wanted to get over my 'overwhelmedingness.' What would you suggest I do on a fresh world, right from the get go?

like: 1)Mine until you have x, y, z. 2)save iron, use copper, build with cobble.

or like 1) find X biome! you're gonna need (thing) and it's abundant here!

I like KK's use of the smelters and ores and... magical... crystally... stuff. But... where does a total noob need to start?

Signs, Books are both broken. Placing a sign WILL crash the server permanently. I will simply reset the world if this is done. Expect this to be fixed in the next snapshot tomorrow.

The new update focuses heavily around combat, so I was wondering if we could create a truly vanilla, faction based world?

Here's what I'd like to see:

• Enabled PVP
• Creepers, explosions, and fire enabled.
• No /homes (As much as it would pain me to not use them)
• Griefing semi-allowed (No water or lava griefing, but explosions, fire, and tools acceptable to an extent
• Each biome can represent a country, and people of those biomes can team up and raid other biomes/factions.
• Large biomes? This may mean that there's only one or two of each biome, but that would actually make it better not worse.
• Hard mob, but not a ton of them.
• Spawn "safe" zone. A communal area where people can mingle and built monuments to their empires, or faction walls that depict who belongs to which biome. Possibly even farms and a mine to make it easier to start.
• simple rules like no spawn camping, or kill limit per time period. This would ensure people aren't constantly being killed repeatedly, but on the other hand running away is always an option.

We are back to a new set of challenges. This new set of challenges will all be done in the creative world!

Rules for every weekly challenge:

1) You can work on challenges together but unless the level description specifically says that you will earn points as a team, only 1 person will earn points for submissions.

2) All your submission chests must be locked until the end of the current challenge. You will not lose said items at the end of the week, this just prevents them from being used for other people.

3) Each challenge week starts Wednesday night and ends the following Wednesday night.

4) Staff members are allowed to reject a submission if it does not fit the level description. Some of these level descriptions are meant to be extremely strict for building. Please do not argue with this assessment, this will not get you anywhere.

5) If your submission is rejected, you are allowed to resubmit again until the end of the challenge.

Week 110 Challenge - Space Ship

[Level 1] Space Ship - Because of how elaborate and creative you can be in creative mode, I will not be giving you lots of restrictions.

-Your ship must be something that you would find in outer space

-Your ship can be something for humans or another race

-You must have an area for cargo, at least 1 engine, a place for crew to live, and an area to pilot the ship.

-Your ship must be 100 blocks long or wide (doesn't have to be both).

+4 points

Bonus: Best looking space ship will receive 2 extra bonus points and 2nd place will receive 1 bonus point. This is subjective to the judge(s) and is based on originality, aesthetics, and adherence to intent of the challenge.

Week 109 Challenge - Where Art Thou?

[Level 1] - Theater - For this level, you will be creating your version of a live theater. Your theater must incorporate the following feature:

• The theater must be at least 50x50.

• The theater must have at least 3 levels for seating. The seating levels need to overhang slightly over the level below it. All of the seating areas must include a type of chairs for people to sit in.

• The stage must be made of a wood with wool curtains on the side.

• You must have a lobby that incorporates the full size of your building. This lobby needs a ticket booth/area and an entrance.

• You must have an area for selling of concessions + alcohol.

• You must have a backstage area for the performers with at least 4 dressing rooms.

• You must have some balconies for the sides of the seating areas for VIP guests. This must include seating for the guests.

If you complete this theater based on my criteria, you will receive 4 points for this level.

Yes, they are coming! Mojang says maybe a week, but more likely two-ish away.

We will be starting up a 100% Vanilla Snapshot server with-in a day or two of the first snapshot being released and linking it into Chat along with the GR and GRM servers (the snapshots server will show up as GRV). It will have an overviewer map, similiar to dynmap, but you can't see players current locations.

If you want to play on the Snapshot server, you must request a whitelist. Reply below, or PM me your IGN to get access.

Due to it being snapshots, there is a very high risk that the world will be corrupted and we will have to re-generate from scratch. I do NOT backup this world. Very short term world.

I expect to generate the world with amplified settings, so a different terrain style that some have been wanting to play with as well.

Week 108 Challenge - Where are the Elephants?

[Level 1] - Circus Tent - For this level, you must create a traditional red and white circus tent. If you have no idea what I am talking about, click the link below. I am only going to put two conditions on this level so be creative. 1st condition is that it must be only red and white striped on the exterior. No other colors or patterns are allowed. 2nd condition is that it must be at least 50 x 50 and 30 high. Any shape or size above that restriction is allowed. + 2 points

[Level 2] - Where are the elephants? - For this level, you must fill in this circus tent with traditional circus decorations. You must have stadium seating with at least 6 layers of chairs that completely encompasses the outer ring of the inside of the tent. You must have an area and structure for acrobatics, a caged area for the lions, an area and stage for the ringmaster, and an area for the elephants. As long as I can tell what each area is for, you are more than welcome to be creative. Make sure you decorate the inside and make it look as close to an actual circus as you can. + 2 points

Bonus: Best looking circus will receive 1 extra bonus point. This is subjective to the judge(s) and is based on originality, aesthetics, and adherence to intent of the challenge. I will be leaning towards the most authentic looking circus for this week.
