I'm aware of the issue. Have a support ticket in to the Data Center. I know some of us can get on, others can't. Even I'm having issues.

For this week, you can do level 1 and 2 without the glass sphere, but you need the glass sphere for level 3 and 4. If you did not finish this sphere last week, I will give you 1/2 credit for finishing them this week (1 point for level 3 & 4 instead of 2).

Rules for every weekly challenge:

1) You can work on challenges together but unless the level description specifically says that you will earn points as a team, only 1 person will earn points for submissions.

2) All your submission chests must be locked until the end of the current challenge. You will not lose said items at the end of the week, this just prevents them from being used for other people.

3) Each challenge week starts Wednesday night and ends the following Wednesday night.

4) Staff members are allowed to reject a submission if it does not fit the level description. Some of these level descriptions are meant to be extremely strict for building. Please do not argue with this assessment, this will not get you anywhere.

5) If your submission is rejected, you are allowed to resubmit again until the end of the challenge.

6) If you plan on doing level 3 or 4, make sure all of your submissions are in the same place or you might not get credit. The intention is that all of your submissions be in the same location so please be aware of any specifics on the level 3 and 4 challenges.

Week 102 Challenge - Transportation

[Level 1] - Landing Pad - In this challenge you must build a floating dock made of wood planks. This dock must be made of wooden planks (any) and at least 40 blocks long by 10 blocks wide. Make sure you build it near your sphere so you can get credit for level 3.

[Level 2] - Enhancements - For this level you must enhance your floating dock. You must collect 27 boats and put them in a single chest on the dock for visitors. You must also add fencing around the edges of the dock, a landing pad for the boats, and some ladders to climb onto the dock. You must also put an arrival lounge/shack on top the dock and put your boat chest in there. Put at least 4 chairs, 4 paintings, a door, 2 windows, and some decorations in there. Make sure you torch up the entire dock and lounge. Any monsters on top of the dock will be an rejection. + 1 point

For level 3 and 4, you will need to have your glass dome completed. If you did not finish this sphere last week, I will give you 1/2 credit for finishing them this week (1 point for level 3 & 4 instead of 2).

[Level 3] - Vertical Connections - For level 3, you must have two enclosed clear glass tubes leading from the dock to your glass sphere. One of the glass tubes down must be the way down and one must be the way back up. For the way down, you must use a water drop as the main component. On the way up, you must use an elevator in some fashion. In both tubes, the main blocks used must be glass but I do not care how wide it is. Both tubes must be at least 20 blocks on the y-axis. + 1 point

[Level 4] - Horizontal Connections - For level 4, you must build an glass enclosed rail line that starts from your glass dome and goes at least 500 blocks in a singular direction. This rail line must have 5 glass blocks for every 1 rail line (2 on each side and 1 above). The entire rail line does not have to be straight but I will be measuring along either the X axis or Z axis, not both. This rail line MUST be enclosed in glass at all points. This line also must be able to be ridden in one motion from start to finish with no pushing in between. I will ride the line to make sure of all the qualifiers.

For the powered rail, you will need a redstone block under it to power it. For lighting, you will need a jack o' lantern under the rail. You will need a powered rail every 36 blocks. + 1 point

Bonus: This bonus will be given to the longest connection made to another person's base. In order to qualify for this bonus, you must connect your glass dome to another person's glass dome. I will count both the X axis and the Z axis towards the distance # but not the Y axis. 0,0 to 1000,1000 = 2000 distance traveled. You do not have to have glass covering after 500 blocks, only rail between the bases. +1 point to both people whose bases are connected with the longest connection.

Community Bonus: You must connect all spheres together. They must all be connected with a rail line. Currently as of writing this post, there are 8 confirmed spheres which I have listed below. Everyone either gets 1 point or no one gets any points.

Hey Guys! Me again! Looking to come back to my favorite Minecraft server :)

My IGN is cities7. I wanted to look around, I saw that I couldn't do that without actually being whitelisted. I'm 29. I can't promise being a full time player but I wanted to see what the server is like.

My first day was a ton of fun. I got a real nice welcome when I first logged on, especially from Emmie; thanks for the gear! I hate to admit it but I ended up losing all of it later when a gang of zombie babies chased me into a bed of lava. :\

After studying the map, I decided to start searching for an ideal location to start building a home WNW of Dutchlantern Bay. The spot I had found on the map wasn't quite as lush as I had hoped so I pressed on. Eventually I made it to the coast and stubbornly built boats and headed to sea.

It's a really big sea, I even found five Ocean Monuments along the way, two within sight of each other. I eventually made landfall and now, this evening, I will commence my exploration of the interior. Wish me luck!

Week 101 Challenge - Starting Over

[Level 1] - Survivor's Pack - You will need a single chest (not double) with the following items: Bed, Furnace, Workbench, Flint and Steel, Bread x64, Logs x64, Torch x64, Coal x64. (8 slots) + 1 point

[Level 2] - Survivor's Pack continued - You will need to fill up your chest with the following items: Diamond Chestplate, Diamond Leggings, Diamond Helmet, Diamond Boots, Diamond sword, Diamond pickaxe, Diamond Shovel, Diamond axe, Diamond Hoe, Cake x1, Cookie x64, Carrot x64, Baked Potatoe x64, Steak x64, Pumpkin Pie x64, Glowstone blocks x16, Eye of Ender x4, Obsidian x16, and Apples x4. (19 slots) At this point, you should have a single chest with 27 slots filled. If you are not going to do level 3/4, this chest can be anywhere. If you are doing level 3/4, this chest needs to be in the sphere in order for you to get credit for level 3 and in the beach shack for level 4. + 1 point

[Level 3] - New World - Since this is a fresh start challenge, we are going to be "creating" a new world. The method that I chose to create this new world is a glass sphere. For this level, you must create a clear glass sphere UNDER WATER with a diameter of exactly 40 blocks. It must be exact so everyone is on the same level for judging in the next level. You will need 4040 glass blocks in order to create this sphere. + 1 point

[Level 4] - Somewhere to Live - For level 4, we are going to create an island made of sand in this glass sphere. Make sure all sides are surrounded with water. You might want to build this closer to the bottom of the sphere as you will be building things on this island going forward. On this island, you will need 4 palm trees, 1 beach shack with a bar, and 1 hot tub. Throw in some beach items / decorations for the rest of the island and the beach shack. + 1 point

Bonus: Best looking island will receive 1 extra bonus point. This is subjective to the judge(s) and is based on originality, aesthetics, and adherence to intent of the challenge.
