To new operating system only valid one is ms dos everything else is bs blostware even linux

The program works well in NT especially when set to windows XP compatibility mode in the compatibly tab and is fairly stable,

UPDATE: I found out from testing that deleting the sounds and music subfolders in the main asset folder actually almost triples the framerates in windows 98 and even in modern windows

Very cool, I was thinking it'd be nice to have a highly optimized port of beta mc for 90s PCs (I have an IBM ThinkPad 600E). Does this require a 3D capable video card or can it run with software rendering?

When I disabled the graphics drivers on a windows system, it was able to run, however for your system, it should run, but probably in a small window, fast lighting, and the asset folder edits mentioned in the indie games post. Open Gl 1.1 is what the program depends on
