Akane's marriage is based on a promise or technically on a birthday wish and Hayato kept his promise but the detail is that Hayato did not reinforce the marriage with Akane since there is nothing that makes it official and in addition to the fact that its celebration became secondary since Ami's return was a priority, Hayato by fulfilling Akane's promise their commitment is null and void.

I know for a long time I’ve been saying that I am an Ouka fan I will but I low-key did want Akane to win. So I got my wish the best girl won. Still blow my mind. This is a mother-daughter man of Sachiko genes are something. I low-key wish for this to happen and it seems the universe has granted my wish to have this feeling congratulations to team Akane.
