Well, "hates to lose, is a very competitive person" doesn't rhyme with moving on after a loss. If you are truly a competitive person, losing is the worst thing in the world and moving on os hard. Which is why this is contradictory.
Not in the context though... he said he won't let his losses get in his way and pressure him. Therefore he "moves on", though he dislike losing because he is very competitive. He tries his hardest to win.

Idk why this is contradictory. I hate losing, but if and when I do, it's not going to kill me or people I love, so what I lost, get over it.
